You can bring up the discounted hotel room rates right on the disneyworld.com web site. The code they give on the website is called CPC but it is the same rate as the CTN code for the rooms I checked. First go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index, then click on tickets and reservations. You will then get a screen that tells about having high volume that is causing delays. On this page click where it says in order to proceed click here. On this page click on the bottom of the page where it says special offers. When you get to the next page click on spring resort savings. Scrolling down, right below where it says see important details below in white lettering, there is an easily missed link that says book online. If you click on book online, you can then proceed to put in the days you are interested in and check the various resorts out for pricing and availability. The prices that come up are the discount prices. I got the Fort Wilderness Cabins. I think the rate before taxes was about $199. I had called and asked about the new Pop Century resort and had been told that it wasn't available at the CTN code for the dates I wanted. Then I discovered on the website it was available at the CPC code for the same price as the All Stars were offered to me at on the telephone for the same dates. I had debated between 2 Pop Century Rooms or the Fort Widlerness Cabins and finally decided on the Cabin.

I don't know what dates you are interested in but I played around on the website using the dates Feb. 15 through Feb. 20 just to see what was available in the deluxe category. All I could find was the AKL Std. view for $210.74, AKL water/pool view for 227.46, AKL Savannah View for $266.50, AKL Deluxe Water view for 284.34, AKL Deluxe Savannah for 328.94, Yacht Club Concierge Garden View for 406.98 and the Fort Wilderness Cabins for 221.90. All the rates I just quoted were for 1 night including taxes. Hope this helps. :wave2:

Hi there,

I asked the same question on a different thread. I was so upset to find out about the codes a month after they were released. The very wise people here said to call every day and that is what I have been doing. So far 4 days out of our 9 have been switched over to AP rates. I plan to keep calling. Most of the reservation people have been nice.

That is alot of the ny/nj metro areas mid winter vacation. We were at the poly 2 years ago then and the cm told us at check in it was 110% booked, we did not even get our long house request. I think we took our kids out of school a little earlier to get a better rate. I havent seen what that week falls under. Sometimes the disney rates are just too expensive for our family of 5, after our ftp at the poly in aug we went to the swan with a rollaway. I know, nothing but palm trees feels relaxing when you think of that 22 inches of snow we got already.Good luck. The swan also has a great beach, beach volleyball, great pool etc.

Codes we very difficult to get this year. I orginally had WL booked for that week, no such luck, ended up moving over to AKL on an AP rate.

To get a good AP rate for Presidents week you need to arrive no later then February 11 this year. On the 12 the rates jump from value to peak. There are new codes out that start February 12, don't know how good the code is but any savings, is better then no savings.

I've tried both on line and on the phone a couple of times to get a better rate for my POR stay from 2/11 to 2/21 and was told that AKL is the only place with rooms left.

thanks everyone for your feedback...guess we just need to keep trying;)
good luck and ill keep you posted

last year stayed at the poly presidents week with my ap for 179 per night:confused:

If you can check in by the 11th and have an AP you can do better. Those AP rates are lower than the ones starting 2/12. We're checking in 2/9 - 2/15 and we got the Poly for $199 per night INCLUDING tax. Not bad. It's a thought for you if you're flexible with your dates.

thanks for the idea pam... maybe i will try that but the kids will miss one more day of school..i'm sure they won't mind:p
maybe ill call and see if it will be worth my while to do that
thanks so much:wave2:

Jillz-

I am also going that week. We will be there from the 14th to the 19th. We are staying at the Dolphin - book it a few months ago.

This year might be different because of a HUGE Convention that will be in town. It's called World of Concrete and I think it takes up the entire convention center. It is everything having to do with concrete and concrete repair under one roof - yes there is more than you could ever imagine. It's normally in Las Vegas but every once in a while it is held in Orlando. Needless to say, I have been planning this trip for a year.

Just a thought as to why this year may be even busier than last year. The good news for you is it isn't schedule to be Orlando for the foreseeable future. It's getting too big and Vegas is about the only I place that can hold it all - at least that is what I have been told.

You might try the Swan/Dolphin if you don't mind it not being a Disney property. Most of the perks are the same and you can't beat the location - IMO. Good Luck!

My Wife & I made reservations Tuesday (12/30) for Port Orleans Riverside from 2/12-2/16. The price (room only) was $753 or $188/night.

Called back on Wednesday (12/31) and added 2/11 to get the Value Season rate & my AP discount. The CM had a problem pulling it up, said Poly was all she could find, then POR magically poped up. Added a day and the price dropped to $496 or $89 (King Bed).

Now that's Disney Magic.

OK PamNC and Bacs22

I bit the bullet and took your advice...so the kids miss one more day of school...:p
checking in on the 11th at the poly and staying for 9 nites instead of 8 my rate went from 3600 something to 1796 ..:Pinkbounc boy you are right about that disney magic;)

thanks for the great advice:wave2:

This happened to me too. There is somthing going on with the CM's or WDW. I called two days ago to book a AP rate for the POP century from Feb, 10 - 17 (with the BCE code). I was told that rate was only for AKL for $149 and b/c my stay went over the ending date for the code, that I could not book it. I said that I have done this before and he told me it was b/c of valentines day. I hung up. So i called back today and got a incredible CM. She pulled up the POP Century right away for 49 bucks. The total for seven days came ti $382!!!! Is it magic or stupidity.
