Did Anyone Get a Deal this Morning?

Anyone else run into their TA not being able to access it? Mine hasn't made the change yet because she says she can't access it since they upgraded their system and had to call. She was on hold for an hour until she had to get her kids. I think next time I'll just do it myself.

I think anyone can access it online. Go to the main disney website. There is a link to special offers under the packages drop down. From there you can book reservations under either the s/p/d discount or the room only discount.

The stay, play, dine seems like a good deal. Online it was requiring the purchase of one park ticket, not the minimum of two, like the deals of the past few years. Years ago, you were able to get FD with the purchase of one park ticket. Maybe we are returning to the good ol days.

After being on hold for an hour and a half this morning I was able to change my reservation.

must be lunch break time because I have been on hold for over 50 minutes now. I was on hold for over an hour this morning and had to give up. I really hope someone picks up soon because this Disney music is starting to get on my nerves. :rotfl2:

That music is terrible! I guess normally it wouldnt be so bad but the Last thi g I wanted to hear at 4am was car engine noise set to frenzied music when im pleading and hopeing I get a cm before the rooms are all booked!

After 3 calls, approx. 2 1/2 hours on hold and 2 adjustments to my reservation:

BCV - Deluxe Studio
2/27 - 3/4
2 adults
6 day PH tickets
Regular Dining Plan
No discount - $3618
S/P/D discount - $3110.42
RO discount - $2796.46

$821.54 saved!!!:thumbsup2

Which will now be put to good use paying for Wild Africa Trek and other goodies!

I've NEVER booked a package before, since we always have APs. I had booked a RO discount when the Disney Visa offer came out, but after playing around online I wound up booking S/P/D. It was too good to pass up.

All-Star Music
6 nights, 1/15-1/21
2 Adults
QSDP
7 Day MYW Base tickets
$1355

Our APs expire 1/13, so we'll be using the 7 day MYW tickets towards an upgrade. The 7 day tickets are worth $288 each it looks like, so minus that cost, we're getting 6 nights hotel and food for about $770. That's insane! We've spent that on just two nights ROOM only at BC, with a discount. It's our first time staying in a Value, and we rarely eat QS because we have TIW, so it'll be a refreshing change of pace and I'm just excited to snag such a cheap trip! :thumbsup2

Hi, we are booked to stay at the Poly from Jan 1st to the 6th with park hopper tickets and deluxe dining. Our package price is $6363.60. I called to try to get the discount and couldn't because we arriving one day before the discount starts! The CM said nothing could be done short of splitting our stay to do the 1st by itself and then the 2nd to the 6th would apply for the discount. However, that costs over $400 more than the original package price! Does anyone have any ideas to help get a discount applied or lower the cost? We are not flexible with our dates. DH is a teacher. TIA!

1/10-1/13 4 adults
switched from AKL to GF, MK view
saved about $500
(didn't buy tickets yet because I am getting an AP)

DD got a spring internship so we decided to do something special and she wanted to celebrate New Years Eve at Disney. Well we get to save some money on room-only discount last couple of night we are there but I was running numbers if we could have gone Jan 2-7 and used s/p/d and that is a great deal. i NEVER get the packages, we don't eat a lot of big meals and I can get tickets cheaper but even I would have jumped on that! But now it's time to work on my countdown ticker! :cheer2:

Got it...RO 2 adults, 8 nights All Star Music Jan 8-16 $640. Only needed a $72 deposit, balance due upon arrival.

Booked online; at one point it did tell me the system was down but I kept at it!!

Thanks to all of you for the heads up on this great offer! :cheer2:

Good luck to everyone!

we booked almost your exact dates (Jan 7th - 16th so just one extra night) for AS Music under the Visa RO discount and got $711 total.

Pay for it a la carte. What room type do you have booked? How many are in your party?

Room (assuming TPV Club Level, taxes included): Rack on Jan1 + 35% RO on Jan2-6 = $3371
Tickets (6 Day PH, taxes included : assuming 2 adults): UndercoverTourist Thru Mousesavers = $652

So far, that's a total of $4023. Even if you paid out of pocket for high end dining, you won't come anywhere close to $6000

Waited only 20 minutes on the phone at about 9:00am and got S/P/D POR 9 nights, 2 adults and 3 kids (17, 15,11) for $3858.00. Then the wonderful CM told my that I was dinged for a $500 discount because we had stayed at POR recently after a cruise bringing the total down to $3355.:cheer2:

Thanks for the help! We have a standard garden view room. There are three adults and three kids (ages 2, 4, and 6). Will factoring this in still give us a savings? Thanks!

Yup! You'd still save lots of money.
Poly GV Room (tax included) = Jan 1(rack) + Jan2-6(RO 35% discount) + extra adult= $2156 (save $612)
Tickets (6Day PH, 3 adult, 2 kids, using Undercovertourist link in Mousesavers newsletter, tax included) = $1594 (save $151)

Your total with no food is $3750. So far, you've saved ~$763 over rack rates on room and tickets.

If you want, you could go through the menus on allears (http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm) to sanity check where you think you'll come in budgetwise on food, if you were to pay out of pocket. If it's less than $2613, then book the RO discount and remove the tickets and deluxe dining from your reservation.
