Did anyone figure out what's happening on the first floor of WL?

I know I read something a few weeks ago about some 1st floor rooms at WL being gutted. We were headed back to the villas the other night and the lights are on in these rooms that face the villas. It looks like they have gutted them. One of the rooms had 3 new bath tubs sitting in them. Just curious as I thought there may be speculation that they were converting these to DVC studios. Anyone heard anything else?

WOW. Very interesting. I know a permit was found for a construction trailer to be moved in, but I have not heard of one yet for any actual work on the Lodge.

We looked too. The tubs appear to be the ones removed from the gutted rooms. Definitely not new. We asked a cast member and she said they were working on new configurations for ADA rooms.

First floor, ADA rooms, might be!

I'd definitely like to see more ADA rooms on the first floor, and take away the ones on upper floors. I remember being in a HA room on the third floor once at VWL, and it never made sense to me to have one on the third floor-if there's a fire, they tell you "Don't use the elevator". So how are people in wheelchairs supposed to get out? I've also been upstairs in a HA room at POR. I'm surprised this is even allowed, to be upstairs!

The same way people get out of high rises in a fire. I work in a 17 story office building, those who can't take stairs are directed to wait in an area near a freight elevator, the fire department will come to assist. When we do drills, they are there.
