I watched tonight. Right up until the last 5 minutes I was ticked. I think it sent a powerful wrong message to many that are clueless regarding chronic pain. An individual that lives with chronic pain should not be made to feel that detox is an acceptable solution or a necessity to please others skewed perceptions on drug addiction/dependancy. I was very happy it ended the way it did cause really what happened next if he did detox?? Live with the pain that debilitates him? That isn't an option

Well since it is a tv show, a popular one at that, how could thye keep the show going if House was sent to jail?I happen to love this show and this character but tonight's episode bothered me. On many levels. Actually, I agree that any group of doctor's who take this path time and again to diagnose and treat people, well, need some work.
I don't understand why they haven't had House work with pain management doctors. His boss and his oncologist friend are not the right people to treat chronic pain. There are all kinds of things that can treat chronic pain these days.![]()
I also don't like the message tonight that he can "fake" rehab, bribe an employee in the rehab department to give him vicodan instead of his prescribed medication and let his physician friends know about it and no one feels it is wrong. At least not wrong enough to do anything about it. No doctor's I have ever known would go out on a limb like that for a colleage. Not even a close one. Time and again they have been doing it. If that were a nurse at that hospital, her hiney woulda been in jail 5 minutes into the episode.![]()

So, I will keep watching because I love the actors but I certainly hope things change...I guess it is time to write to the network about my feelings. I always say if you complain, you have the responsibility to do something about it or shut up.![]()

I'm just happy this arc is over, I hated the cop!
This is one of my favorite shows right now. I love it! Hugh Laurie is wonderful as House. Can't wait until next week.
We have to wait 3 weeks for the next episode.

THIS was the most annoying part of the show to me. Why do they keep showing so many re-runs? I'm afraid the viewers will get tired of it and find something else to watch on Tuesday nights...and before we know it, "House" will be cancelled.
Fox does this to a lot of shows and I just don't understand it.![]()

I like the show but you seriously have to suspend your belief in reality to go along with it.
I mean --- they shocked that poor man's brain and erased a major part of his life without even ever verifying that his "painful memories" were true.
And then they all just go "oops, guess we were wrong. But don't worry, you have family that will take care of you."
