Did anyone else get a totally bizarre PM

I just got a PM from someone with no posting history that made no sense. Did anyone else get one of these??? It has kinda creeped me out

I never ever used to reply to the new people looking for menus, etc. that would have to be sent through my private email. Just be vigilant and remember that it's ap ublic forum. You're a smart girl though and you already knew that!

I used to get these frequently. Now that I don't post as much, I just don't get the "fan mail" that I used to.

I'm sure that they come from regular posters who sign up alternative usernames just for this purpose, i.e., to send weird or nasty PMs "anonymously."

Try not to pay it any mind. If someone doesn't have the guts to use their "real" name to tell you something, then their thoughts aren't worth much IMO.

I've been here a really, really long time and I have never received any weird PM's...I actually hardly get any, but then again, I don't really send too many either

I've gotten a few over the years. I figure the DIS is just like the real world. most of the people you meet are just normal folks. A few are nasty *****, a few are harmless kooks, and every now and then there is someone who is truly mentlaly unstable.

I got a pm from someone with no posting history a few months back. As it turns out I have a Keeshond dog and they were sending pm's to anyone that had posted the word Keeshond in a post.....hoping to recruit some dog lovers of that breed to their website.
