Did anyone else find this to be wrong?

I got ours (the 2-disc special eddition) at Borders. We watched it last night - WOW! It was the first time we had a chance to see it (couldn't see it in the theatre when it was released because DH had just had surgery around the same time).

I do hope they re-release it in January. I think Heath will definitely get a nomination.

OP - I'd contact the manager about that employee - he was rude.

I got the WalMart special with the coin and the comic book. I wasn't too worried about the bonus features, and with the Papa Johns coupon it was only a couple dollars more than I would've paid at Best Buy. I was surprised the coin actually feels like a real coin. I thought it would be plastic, but it has "copy" on the clean side so it can't be passed off as real (like the scarring on the bad side wouldn't be an indicator).

FYI, the comic reprints the origin of Batman and the first appearances of the Joker and Two-Face from the 1940s. I was hoping it would be "The Killing Joke", but I guess that would be a little too intense for any kids that might read it.

Thanks for the info everyone I appreciate it. I unfortunately already opened the DVD and I watched it yesterday.

Yes the sales clerk did say that to me...with a smile but I just walked away from him. There were other people that needed him more than I did.

It wasn't worth my time. I did see the one with the Batman Mask, at this Target it was $30 and I also thought it was for Blue Ray because it was right by the regular Blu Ray. I do still have the reciept but I already opened it.

Oh well. If they are trying to see these new fan dangled Blu Rays then they should find another way to sell them instead of annoying people such as myself.

OT sort of....Heath will get a nomination more likely for supporting actor, BUT when Johnny Depp got nominated for Jack Sparrow it was for BEST ACTOR not supporting, so anything can happen.

I also think that Chris Nolan will get a nod as for Best Picture....that is such a tough call b/c it is an action movie. Even though Lord of the Rings Return of the King won that was a bit different. I would be thrilled if it got nominated but I don't feel it will win.

I hope that Heath will win for Best Supporting, after watching him again. He deserves it his performance was unreal!

Thanks again everyone!

I read online recently that blue ray isn't taking off like they wanted it to. Maybe this is one way that they are trying to make people buy them? I have no intention of buying one until I can get it as cheap as I could get a DVD player now. I'm stubborn that way.

Big agreement here! Everytime I walk by the electronics section at a store and see all those blue-ray DVDs and players I get so annoyed. I get the fact that these are "better" DVDs b/c they are higher definition and a lot of people have high def tvs now, but come on! There are a whole lot more of us that are perfectly happy with the pic quality of what we have now and have no intention of trading up until forced to.

What I hate about some types of techonolgy today is this: it seems that every decade or so there is some "improvement" on something. A reinvention of the wheel you might call it. These companies know that some people (tech-junkies) will hop right on the ball and buy the "new" thing just b/c it's new. But they also know that many people (myself included) are happy with what they have and have no interest in changing, so they have to phase out the "old" thing so we are forced to buy the new. Think VHS??? Or how about cassette tapes???

Anyways...IMO this whole thing is ridiculous. I'm hoping that this blue-ray phenomena will eventually die away so I don't have to start shelling out extra cash for new stuff. I seriously doubt that it costs THAT much more to make a blue-ray disc than a regular DVD. IMO this is a scam to get more $$ out of people who are already strapped for cash.

Sorry to soapbox on you, but it is my candid opinion. :upsidedow

I tried to reply an hour ago, but my internet sucked it up...I was going to say that my hope is that Blue Ray is the laser disc of this decade. Maybe just me tho...;)

Well, I have a laser disc player AND a Blu-Ray player and I've loved them both. However, I'm far more interested in having the very best possible presentation of a film than most people are. There's nothing like watching a Blu-Ray with your Bose sound system blaring away. My friends who've seen the Blu-Ray movies want one just as badly (even if they can't afford one yet).

Be happy with your regular DVDs, if you want. I've still got plenty of those that I watch, too. But, Blu-Ray is incredible and I truly don't believe it will go away. A new technology may eventually come along to replace it, but for now, this is the absolute best presentation of any film and I'm enjoying every single high-tech second of it. It's worth every penny for the discs (BTW, they're a lot cheaper on Amazon than they are in stores).

The Dark Knight is just incredible in Blu-Ray. Only had time to hop through and watch the Joker scenes the other night, but OMG... fantastic.

I understand that you may not be willing to pay extra for the "extras", whether DVD or Blu-Ray, but many of us are. So, why shouldn't we have the opportunity? There's a cheaper disc for those of you that don't want that kind of thing. You get more, you pay more. That's supply and demand for you.
