Dicember 2014 trip (christmas eve)

Hi!, I know this is crazy but I just booked a trip for Dic 24 - Jan 02....I was looking for any trip reports around those days in the past but can't find any...if some body can help me i'll appreciated!

I'm very excited but at the same time veeeryyy scared of those dates!!

WE just went Dec 30 to jan 3. We had a great time! Was it crowded-YES! But we went knowing that we either had to RD, FP+, or stay late to ride what we wanted. WE were OK with skipping things. For example, we spent a morning at AK, we had a great time and never even rode a ride! WE did the trails, looked at the animals, slowed down to really look at the themes. It was a great time! We had park hoppers so we took breaks and went back later to other parks. Now on NYE MK was closed from about 10am to around 3pm (??), but we knew to avoid that day there. We actually saw the NYE firework show on 12/30, as they do it two nights in a row.The decorations are beautiful. I would love to go again for NYE this year! Now if this were a special once in a lifetime trip, or maybe you only go every 5 years, it may not be the best time. The lines are long, like 300 min for test track! Even it's a small world had a 60 min wait! We have been often so we were ok with skipping rides!

We went during that time in 2013 and had such a great time we are headed back for 2014. I have a trip report in here somewhere if you search for it, lol. I haven't been on Disboards for a couple of months ... taking a break from it all There were also a few other reports from around the same time period.

We are going this year from Dec. 20th-Jan 3. We have gone every year in Nov for the past 10 years.. Oh I will miss that time of year F&W and Christmas starts but DD is going into HS so she cant miss that many days anymore. So since we have been so many times we really wont feel like we are missing any thing that we cant do due to the crowds. I am hoping for some warm temps to be able to do some waterparks and pool days too. Since I have teens I will plan some morning to be in park at opening and leave when we have to shuffle thru crowds and very late nights since MK seems to be open til 3 am most nights Most of my dining I am going to try to book at resorts not parks so we can enjoy the resorts for holiday. The most thing I am looking forward to is Candle Light Procession and story time around the world.

We are going this year over Christmas Dec 21-Jan 1 and can't wait!
We know there will be crowds but we aren't concerned. We go often enough.
