i think the lack of atmosphere is down to the long breaks between acts....the whole thing is a bit strung out

I don't think it looks like there is much atmosphere either, although the link commentators keep going on about the amazing party atmosphere. We are quite enjoying it though. I liked James Morrison, Lily Allen, The Feeling and the ballet best so far. Looking forward to Andrew lloyd Webber!

I loved the Andrew Lloyd Webber section and most of the acts have been great. What did you think to Fergie? You couldn't hear her sing, I think they got the sound a bit wrong

I've been watching it on and off all day and it's been truly wonderful. Such a fitting tribute. My sister and brother-in-law were lucky enough to be there today, and I even saw them on TV. I couldn't believe it!

William and Harry did a magnificent job.

I have never posted over here on the UK boards before but I did watch the extremely edited one hour version in the states. I read this post before I watched it here so I was disappointed that we only got to see a few of the singers. I think its really great that will and harry did that for diana. Did elton sing his version of candle in the wind for her.

I watched some of that today. It was carried live on VH1 over here. I've heard of Joss Stone before but never actually heard her sing until today (that I know of). I thought she was pretty good. And she was hot. Even with the tie-dye moo-moo.

Thank you for posting here that you saw it on VHI I searched for it and have it programed for tomorrow night. Joss Stone is great I love her music.

I'd heard that he was going to sing this as well. Maybe they decided to go with the home movies that were shown at the end instead? Elton had always said that he would never sing it live again and it would have ended the concert on a bit of a downer I think.

Thought it was really enjoyable. DS took real dislike to Status Quo shouting 'No' at them Felt a bit sorry for Ricky Gervais having to 'fill' for so long.

I guess Elton singing 'Candle in the Wind' was just rumour as he had said years ago he'd never sing it again. Think it would have changed the mood of the ending from upbeat so maybe it was for the best.

The Princes did well and it was good to see them enjoying the music

It was all fantastic especially the Andrew Lloyd Webber section . I thought that Sarah Brightman spoilt it somewhat for Josh Groban though. What did you think?

I thought it was a great concert, a really good mix of acts.
The Feeling, Lily Allen and P Diddy really got the crowd going and Wills and Harry seemed to really enjoy it, bless them.

p.s. it wasn't as good as the singalong in 'chat' last night though

OF course not Carol............. our sing along was the best by far !!

I (attempted) to Sky+ it but it kept cutting out so son is gutted that his favourites (Kanye West and P Diddy) were the ones that I lost. Think I lost around 45 minutes in all.

(On another note, Saving Private Ryan was brilliant).
Watched the Joseph section this morning properly and it is just SO good.
