Ok just got back from our jeweler. The ring appraisal came up at $1475.00 stones EXACTLY as described in their appraisal. At first they wanted $1350.00 but we were able to get it (after leaving and returning hours later) for $825.00 great store!

AnnMorin,
Aren't they just the greatest. I've bought earings and a ring on two separate cruises at two different ports. They just love repeat offenders such as myself. I'm hoping DH will want to visit when we go in January.

We usually get me a peice on each cruise and were actually only going to spend around 500.00 as DH just had a saphirre/diamond band made for me from our jeweler for our anniversery in june. But the ring matched my wedding set so well and the diamonds were of such quality that we could not resist. I was thrilled when our jeweler confirmed that we got a great deal. A word of advise, to get the best deal, know your stones, and walk away- they will deal with you when you return!

We walked away but of course you know they won't let you leave if they know you are legitimately there to buy.

yes I did wear all my other jewelry so they could see we were serious shoppers, they can tell pretty fast if you know what you are talking about. When they asked to look at my wedding set under the loop (my center stone is considered flawless and the other stones are V V S 1) they offered us margaritas etc.. and we declined until the deal was sealed. No fuzzy math!
