I have not been to WDW since 2000. We are thinking of travelling with friends to WDW in Nov. 2004. One of the couples would like to stay offsite in a condo. I and another one of the couples would prefer to stay onsite. I have pushed the cost difference of an All Stars vs. condo w/ rental car. I went to look, just out of curiosity, how much a DI Treehouse or Condo would cost (split 3 or 4 ways depending on the amount of people/couples) and can find NO information anywhere. Are they gone? I know that the DI is for corporate use only now but I thought the condos and treehouses would still be available for Disney guests??

The condos are gone. They were torn down to make the new DVC resort, Saratoga Springs. I think that Disney is not leasing the treehouses now (probably because of the construction at the old DI.)

You might want to think about a 2BR at either Old Key West (slightly less expensive) or Beach Club, Boardwalk or WL (slightly smaller and more expensive)....much nicer accomodations than the treehouses. Would probably be more expensive than 3 rooms at the All Star, but probably not that much more...and VERY nice. You might check into renting points from a DVC member...depending on the season it can cut down on the cost considerably (I saw someone on the DVC Point Trading Board this week was renting a 2 BR at OKW in December for 7 nights for $1200....watch the board and you might find something that would work for you).
