DHS Star Wars Fireworks - viewable from outside front gate?

I was wondering if the Star Wars fireworks at DHS are viewable from the front gate, but not inside the park? We arrive on June 17 and will not use a ticket for the parks that day, but since we are staying at BWI, I thought it would be nice to stroll over to DHS and watch the fireworks if we will be able to see them. We have a night scheduled for DHS, but if we can see them this way, we can hit the rides while everyone else is watching the fireworks. And if we are able, doe they still close TSMM or has the fireworks moved so that it can stay open?

You'll be able to view the fireworks from outside the gates. @yulilin3 recommends viewing close to the flags near the boat dock area. You won't hear all of the dialog and music so you may want to start up a YouTube video in sync with the fireworks.

TSMM does close early. But, no one knows if it will be the old or "new" fireworks show on the 17th. If "new," TSMM may not close early.
