DHS on Star Wars release day

Our December trip is all planned out, ADR's set, and park strategies in place based on crowd calendars. Then tonight my husband figures out that we are planning to be in DHS on Friday, Dec 18th--the day that the new Star Wars movie is being released. WHAT!?! No, no, no... DH and I have nothing against Star Wars but the kids are still in the Sophia and Ariel stages. Are they likely to do anything in the parks the day of the movie release? I really don't want to be there with hordes of extra Star Wars fans, but the idea of even trying to reschedule all of our plans for that week might be even scarier!

What do you think? It is getting close to crazy crowd time anyway. In light of recent announcements, how likely is it that they will do/announce something to draw extra people to DHS on the movie release day?

Disney began their merchandise blitz this past Friday and if anything, Disney will want people in theaters and won't be drawing them to DHS.

That's probably why Season of the Force is set for early 2016 and there's no reported opening date set for Launch Bay. The only thing scheduled to open up before the movie is released is the new JTA show.
