DHS Fast Pass on 7/5

I just got an odd message from Disney stating that my Fastpass+ selection for TSMM is no longer available "due to an unexpected change in operating schedule"??? This was for 7/5 and my FP time was from 9-10 pm. It has told me that I could select another attraction and use it at anytime during the day and TSMM is one of the attractions listed? I have heard of this happening the same day, but to know that is ride is going to be out of order a week in advance seems really odd. Did anyone else receive something similar???

My guess is that it has to do with the fireworks for the Frozen promo starting. They have to vacate/block areas to be able to shoot them off and the timing of your FP looks like it is right when that may be happening

That's my thought as well, I would say get it for the same ride and enjoy it any time during the day.

HMMMM. This doesn't sound good. I just received the identical email except my date is 8/28. Best part is the FP was for 6:55pm and they changed it to 9am. It won't allow you to choose anything at that time. Wonder what really gives?
Oh and TSMM is an option it just won't allow me to choose a different time then what they picked!

It's a pretty easy explanation.

It is in the fall-out zone for the Frozen fireworks, so that area will be closed to guests during the fireworks. If your FP+ falls within that time frame, you will have to either pick a different time (if available) or a different attraction.

Right if I had a later fp but 7pm for 9:15p fireworks? That doesn't make sense.

I just got the same email which I thought was weird. I had toy story mania for late July around 7:30. On the positive side they said that day that I had a fast pass good for any ride at any time for replacement on my magic band.

That's probably right about the time that they would be setting up and they would need the area clear in the event that something went wrong during the setup of the fireworks (depending on how close to that area they are shot off from).

TSMM will close the line around 8:30ish to get all the standby guests through before the Frozen fireworks begin at 9:45. By rescheduling Fp+ holders, they then have a more definitive idea of how many guests can enter the line before it closes.
