Hi,

I am reviewing my plans for Tues Aug 24.

Background:
DXDDP - 4 people. 2 Adults, 11-year-old and 5-year-old

We are at the World 10-days in total. Staying at AoA.

Earlier in Day...
Rest Day - some sleeping in.
If possible do a learn to draw class at AoA at 11 a.m. Huge on our list of things to do
Go to Typhoon Lagoon around noon - closes at 5. Currently we would be leaving maybe at 3:30 to go to AoA, change and head back for ADR at DHS. This is our only planned day at TL.
Food that day will consist of Snack Credits and possibily a little OOP at AoA and then again for TL.

Currently: we have a 5:30 p.m. ADR at Mama Melrose for Dinner, we cannot get the Fantasmic! Package for Dinner - it is unavailable that day for that meal.

Originally we chose MM for that reason, not knowing we would be unable to secure the package. We do like this restaurant - but it is not a "Must Do."

We will be using FP+ for Fantasmic! which is at 8:30 p.m. Park Closes at 8.
We would have two other FP+ available - thinking Toy Story and something else. My 5-year-old will not be tall enough for RnR and we are not huge fans of ToT.

My kids are both Star Wars Fans and it was under refurb the last time we were there, so have not experienced it. I've heard you can sign up for learning to be a Jedi or similar but I don't know how to do that - any insight on that in particular would be also helpful.

Now we do not "Need" to be at Mama Melrose for the "package" and we would be "Hurrying" from TL... Wondering how you would deal with timings etc...

Should we:
Stay until close at TL and move MM (or another meal) to a later time? Eat elsewhere? (Maybe PrimeTime 50's - my daughter really finds SciFi Diner creepy and begged not to go back!)
AoA usually has another Learn to Draw class at 5... we would likely enjoy a second opportunity - but not sure it that is pushing the time limit for the evening?

What else would you do going at this time? Shop? We will be back to this park another day.

What time should you be there for FP+ Fantasmic?

Thanks for everyone's thoughts!

If you decide to do other things before you head to DHS, you need to enter DHS before the park closes at 8:00p. Head to Fantasmic at 8:00.

You cannot have a FP for TSMM and Fantasmic as they are both Tier 1 FP attractions.

It would be easier to eat dinner at AoA, but, you could also book Prime Time for 6:00/6:30 and have time to get over to Fantasmic.

Any chance there is a thread explaining Tier 1 and Tier whatever for FP? I wasn't aware of that, it is our first time using this system... we've not been since 2010.

Thanks for your advice. :)

Would it make more sense to get a FP+ for TSM and then just line up for Fantasmic! ? We haven't been to F before as it was rained out the last trip.

Yes. Also, as soon as you use all 3 FPs you can book a 4th FP from the MDE app (that procedure begins soon) and book Fantasmic if it is available.
