That's not the point. The point is the extreme to which people are going over the extra distance. To give up going to an entire park over the very short extra distance? Sorry. It's an extreme reaction. It's fine to complain and discuss that better options could be found. And it sounds like some changes have been made already.Clearly, no one here on the Dis has ever struggled to walk extra time with a disability. Although my "disability" is not obvious to others just by looking, it IS there. And in the parks I have options to stop and rest.
I'm surprised at the venom on this thread. I'm certainly NOT lazy, but I definitely do not want to walk extra time prior to park opening.

Yes, in case you are curious, I have had mobility problems during one of our trips. Cause me to give up the Dark Side 10K last year. So I do know, I have been there. In all the walking, the little bit more here is one piece of straw in an entire bale. Such a small amount it's not noticeable.
