Yeah, yeah, I've heard that one before ;) . I am so envious of those of you with spouses who share your love of Disney! We just returned yesterday and DH said this last trip was the best we've had yet (due to the cooler weather), but he said no Disney next year. (that's what he said last year, too! :teeth: )

He seems to enjoy himself well enough while we are there, but it's just not where he'd pick to go, I guess. I'm so bummed right now because I cannot think of anything to do that will please everyone. DH likes gambling, snowskiing, golfing, and the beach, but hates sightseeing. I enjoy Disney (of course!), sightseeing, shopping, and shows, but I hate sports and I don't really care for the beach or the outdoors (ie camping, hiking, etc). The girls LOVE Disney and enjoy the beach well enough. It's up to me to plan our next vacation and I'm at a total loss. At their ages (almost-12, 6, and 3), I can't really see going to Europe, Washington DC, San Francisco, etc. - all things I would love to do, but the youngest wouldn't get much out of it and probably not the 6-year-old either. It seems the only thing that pleases everyone (except DH) is Disney! I'd like to start planning our next trip, but have no idea what to do. Maybe I need to start planning how to change DH's mind instead. :p

Maybe you could plan a trip with someone he likes to play golf with so you can hit the parks and he can golf and go watch the baseball during spring training??

Okay let's look at this situation a little closer.

He said no more Disney Right? Well he wasn't specific when he said that! I say plan a trip for a Cruise, that happens to leave from Port Caravel and let it happen to be the Disney Cruise Line!

::yes::

We say the same thing every time we go. We tell the boys "have fun, because we are going someplace different next time."

Guess where we're going again this summer?

For us, at this point in our lives, WDW has something for everyone and we are always happy with our decision. We never feel "beach deprived" or whatever. We are completely content to go to WDW again and again.

I'm sure as my boys get older (they are currently 13 and 14) their opinion might change.....then again....maybe not. And that'll be fine with me!

I agree.....get DH to change his mind! ::yes::

No more trips to Disney? Alrighty then..

Plan a trip to Universal/IOA.. And while he's in there, you go to Disney!;)

Based on your families likes I would say go for a Disney cruise. Specifically a 7 day Eastern.

You get 3 days at Sea - the perfect time to relax and enjoy things as a family.

St. Martin - a short boat ride into town and you are at the beach and near some casinos -not the fanciest in the world - but he can gamble.

St. Thomas. Mahogony Run is a world class golf course. While he's doing that you can take the kids to Coral World.

Both ports offer great shopping as well.

You can have wonderful dinners as a family, or take one night just for the adults and do Palo.

Lots of great shows and enough Disney to make you and the rest of the family happy.

Last, but by no means least, Castaway Cay. Paradise here on earth!
