I am sooo excited! I love the MK area and DH loves the Epcot area. He has already been an angel because he insisted that we upgrade to concierge at BC. Now he has said that he really wants to split our stay between BC and the Poly! He knows the Poly is my favorite resort - it's where I always stayed with my parents - but he HATES the monorail because he is really terrified of heights and of course the one time he has been on it there was a problem with the monorail in front of us and we were sitting still for about 30 min halfway between TTC and Epcot. I didn't think we were that far off of the ground but I don't have a fear of heights and he was apparently freaking out the whole time - although he never showed it.

Anyway, I am hoping this is our best trip ever! It is certainly our longest - 10 nights - so I'm hoping 5 nights at each resort will feel like two vacations.

I appreciate soooooooo much the advice of TammiMcMann, Dreamflight, Ducklite, #1Hockeymom - especially in regards to concierge questions! I'll quit bothering you guys now - I think our plans are pretty set! Well, for now anyway - my sister and I are going on another pre-Christmas trip and I'm thinking WL and BWI and I've never stayed at either of those resorts before so I'll need lots of advice.

I love the Disboards! People are so nice! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have a great vacation

DS13 & I will be staying 8nights at VWL followed by 6nights at BCV in August. VWL is our "home". DS wants to return again, I want to also try something new. So we're doing both - like you said "A MK resort & an EpCot resort"

Not 100% sure, but I think there is a path to MK from Poly, perhaps he could walk and meet you there. Of course, this doesn't work for EPCOT, but with some pre-planning, he could avoid the monorail if he wanted, by walking to MK and bussing it to a resort and then back to EPCOT from there.

There is no path from any of the resorts to the MK. You could take the small boat from the Poly to the MK. You could also walk to the TTC and take a boat from there.

you CAN walk to the MK from the Contemp - I just did it in Oct

Oops! I forgot abut CR! I always think if just the GF and the Poly as MK resorts!

I am not sure what I did to help, but...you're very welcome! :) I am glad your plans are falling into place!
I am also afraid of heights, but have always been fine on rides. I pretend the monorail is a ride of sorts and I am usually fine. If I have to step up onto a chair - ACK! - I am a mess!
I hope your school year goes well and your vacation plans go smoothly!

Debbie
