DH had heart attack

On Thursday my DH had a heart attack (on his birthday), just 2 weeks ago he had surgery for herniated disk. He is now home from the hospital. It was a minor attack. They did not have to put in any stents. Didnt find any blockage when they went in. He is 57 years old. He doesnt have high blood pressure, doesnt have high chlosterol. It could have been caused by stress. He has been out of work since sept due to the disk problem. He was home debating the surgery and worrying about it.

We now will see the heart dr on Thursday to find out where we go from here.

Wow, how horrible to have that happen... especially on his birthday. I am glad to hear that it wasn't too severe, and I hope the heart doc will be able to help y'all out so that you won't have to go through that again

Hope he is feeling better soon. My DH is 56 and I don't like to hear about men so young in this situation. Very scary.

I know what you're going through, and I'm so sorry.
DH began having heart problems about a year and a half ago at age 36. Very scary business.

Hopefully because your DH doesn't have high BP/cholesterol his outlook will be very good and you may need to make only minor adjustments. Hang in there, the worst part is waiting to hear test results and where to go from there.

Cardiologists are usually wonderful doctors. My Mother has a great one & the other docs in his practice seem very capable. Their office staff is the best we've ever dealt with. So I hope you're happy with your DH's (it's a stressful enough health problem, it's nice to have a doctor you like!)
