I'm planning a trip from DFW to WDW in November, and am not sure what to do about airfare. I can get the return flight at the time I want, and for the price I want, but the departure flights are a bit more expensive. Should I just book my return trip now one-way, and hope that the departure fare decreases? At least that way, if the departure faire increases, I got a good deal on the return. Any suggestions/opinions?

What airline are you looking at? I had tracked prices on AirTran and American using Kayak and Bing, getting alerts for our August trip. I watched them everyday for months on American especially. I lucked out on AirTran offering $79 and $89. American only got below $220 round trip one day.

I've been looking at AirTran for a friend who is going in October and she booked at $100 each way. I would have held out for lower but she got nervous. Since you are looking for November, I wouldn't be in too big of a rush to book unless you are looking at Thanksgiving. We tried to go to Orlando last Thanksgiving but the airfare was outrageous.
