We leave tomorow morning :bounce: :bounce:

We have to change planes in Dallas and we have a 50 minute layover.

Our plane arrives at Terminal B and departs at Terminal C - or visa versa

How long will it take us to go from one to the other and do you think we'll have time to get a fast food to go to take on the plane since we have no meal service on American?

Thanks to all

Sorry, I don't recall what terminals are where. There probably is a web site that will give you the layout if you do a search.
When we flew in and out last May (to ORD --California) we had to go from end of the airport to the other (American Airlines) and I think we had just over an hour and didn't have a problem.
I would just grab the food to go, as at any airport 50 minutes does not allow much time in between. If you have to use the train (whatever it's called) I think I recall it being rather old and rickity. But it got us to where we needed to go and that's what counted.
Our problems with DFW was the LONG taxing coming and going. I figured we spent almost 2 hours just taxing and sitting on the runway at DFW. :p
For that reason alone we said from here on out we are avoiding the DFW airport.
Maybe you won't have that problem since our trip was prior to Sept 11. Just take book with you in case!
Good luck at DFW and have a good trip! :)

I've been through DFW several times. You may have quite a walk ahead of you. You may want to consider flagging down or requesting one of the courtesy carts that drive passengers through the terminals.

Also, check with the airline about check-in time for your connecting flight. Some airlines start boarding 20+ minutes before departure and close boarding as much as 5 or even 10 minutes before departure. I was on two United flights last week (Chicago to Orlando and back) that closed the doors 8 - 10 mins. early and we left the gate about 5 mins. early.

Keep in mind that the arrival time can be affected by traffic, so you may arrive earlier or later than what is "scheduled."

All in all, you should have plenty of time to make your connection, but it is always best to check with the airline.

We fly out of DFW a lot and you have a walk ahead of you. Here is a layout of DFW http://www.dfwairport.com/terminals/ Once you hit that concourse you'll need to hoof it to your next gate. There's a lot of food counter services along the way, but I wouldn't stop till I'm at my next departure gate.

Thanks for all the input and the map site - do we really have to walk or can we use the "train"?

Thanks again!!
