My DF's mom has recently taken very ill, and her doctors do not believe she will be healthy enough to make the trip to Disney World in 2 months for our wedding. In fact, they don't think she will be out of the hospital until a week or two before we leave. DF's dad is her caretaker so he will not be able to attend the wedding either. This news has been really tough on all of us, especially his mom. We are trying to find ways to include them in the ceremony, some how honor his mom without memorializing her before her time.
Has anyone every had or known someone who had this happen? Any suggestions on how we can make them still be a part of the ceremony long distance, or bring some parts of it back home to them? I am open to all suggestions!

I'm so sorry. I know there is a videography business that allows for a webcast. Also, you could see if you could bring back a corsage for her, and a boutonniere for him. If you are allowing people to take centerpieces (and I don't even know if that can be done w/Disney, but if it can), you could bring one home for them. If flower petals are being tossed, you could bring back some of those.
I would just recommend lots and lots of videos and pictures. If the webcast isn't possible, maybe someone can hold up a phone or you can call them immediately afterward.
And if you are honeymooning there, definitely send postcards to them during the trip, so they know you are thinking of them!
