Developing Film

Will give you a bump to keep you on first page in hopes one of our experts can help.::yes:: :wave2:

I believe it's in the neighborhood of $10-$13 per roll for single exposures.

It's absolutely insane!!!!

A couple of alternatives:

If you have a car, I'd take your film to Walgreen's or something.

If you don't have a car, try snapfish.com They give you prepaid mailers, and you just send your film in. It's about $6 per roll, you get prints back, and they store your photos online for you. If you want to see your prints right away, you're stuck paying Disney prices if you don't have a car. :)

We're also looking into developing our films before returning home.

My DH uses ISO 800 and 1000 film to shoot illuminations and spectromagic. We usually ask for hand inspection in the airport, but last time that was refused, and two of the high ISO films were damaged :worried:

This time we want to get some of the film developed before we leave Florida, but don't know which shop to use ??

We have had Disney develop 1 film 2 years ago - that was not a big success since they messed up so badly that they refunded and redid the prints ( The first set had black spots where wet photos had touched something :sad2: - Disney solved the problem ok but a hassle never the less)

So Where do we go to develop film - It should be at least day to day service

Didn't think it would be that exspensive

I went to a one hour developing service at a local grocery store down the road from the downtown disney. I could have had it done next day but I want to see if some of my photos had come out.

I have never been refused a hand check at the airport and it has never been a problem except once. The one time the screener tried to tell me it would be fine just keep the line moving. I said uh huh I want it hand checked. He made a big deal about it but I got it hand checked.

Shutterbug when you have it hand checked, is your film in the little plastic canisters still?

I only have 400 film, so I am hoping it will be all right if I am refused/ :scared:

Do you mean those little black canisters?(I know thats probably what you mean but one time I told someone to take the film out of the canister and they went and actually took the film itself out of the cartridge  )
If so yes. I put it all in a big clear ziplock type bag.

400 speed should be alright BUT if you have a photo on the roll of film that is a super special moment have it hand checked and dont take a chance on having it ruined in the xray machine.

You shouldnt be refused. I never have and there is a sign( I think ) that says you can request a hand inspection.

We paid $13.25 per roll (24exp. 35mm) 2 years ago. I don't know if the price has changed since then. We had two rolls developed that I didn't want to take a chance with being lost in the mail. The other rolls I sent to Clark for developing.
