Oh Via Napoli, I was debating between it and Chefs de France (ended up choosing France) but I'm definitely making plans to go back to go to Via Napoli! Definitely!!

First of all - Pop. We always either stay at Pop or a Deluxe. I agree that the CM's at Pop are among the best on property - particularly the bell staff. They are always extremely friendly and helpful. And DD and I also stayed in 60's for our girls only trip - very fun!

I love the pics around WS on your way to lunch. I love beating the crowds back there; it makes a very different experience. On to Italy - looks like a yummy lunch (in more ways than one)!

Since everyone is so excited to hear about Via Napoli I thought I would pop in and do the update

I was looking forward to this restaurant after seeing all of the reviews I had read on the DIS and not only did the food look good but mmmm the boys did too!

Odd, that I'm more interested in the food then the boys. Strange.

When we entered the restaurant we checked in and I was quite tempted to ask one of the female hostesses for a table with a cute waiter

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right?

The manager was working up front and he was quite a handsome man as well!

meh. He doesn't do anything for me.

There was quite the line to wait so my mom and I just kept checking out the cute boys waiting and I of course took pictures!

And yet... none of the pics are of these cute boys? Were you:
1. Too shy?
2. Not quick enough?
3. Restrained by your mother?
4. Encouraged by your mother but you didn't wan't to be a bad influence?

We wait a couple minutes and Lorenzo walks into our life. He was a very handsome man with a nice sparkle in his eye and a gorgeous smile. Needless to say we were quite happy we were on a girl's only trip because my dad may have been disgusted with both of us

He doesn't read these TRs does he?

After we ordered our drinks and we had, had our fill of giggling like school girls my mom says "Detroit has never sounded so sexy!" Which started off another round of giggles.

Geez. If that's all it takes, I can do an Italian accent too. Oh, wait... I'm already married.

Both of our pizzas were great but they were huge! Way too big for one person!

But they sure look good!

We weren't ready to leave our hot Italian quite yet so I decided to order dessert. Before dessert could be brought to me I received what every girl wishes for, for her birthday a couple hot men singing to her in Italian

I really don't look like I was enjoying it though

Oh, no... Not at all...

Overall it was an amazing lunch and if you are looking for some eye candy you won't be disappointed!

Oh really? I can't wait then!

Next up Sleeping around the World...

Hi Everyone! Time for another update....when Caitlin left off we had just finished a wonderful lunch at Via Napoli. Caitlin had ordered dessert at VN but I had really wanted a cannolli which they didn't have on the menu Odd,right? So we headed outside and our first stop was the Italian refreshment stand which does sell them. I was totally in the mood for this but sadly I was a little disappointed

It looked good but it was frozen and as it started to melt it got very messy!

When I finished my dessert we headed to France.

One of our goals this trip was to catch some of the Epcot movies that we always skip and first up would be France. This is where Caitlin's bit about "sleeping around the world" comes in. You see as soon as we were seated in the theater, she was OUT. So much for the "new experience". At the time I thought she was just tired from the early morning race and having a hard time bouncing back. (In reality though she was very ill with a serious kidney infection that almost landed her in the hospital just days after we got home)

When the movie ended I woke her up and we headed back out into World Showcase. As luck would have it one of Caitlin's very favorite characters was greeting guests on this slightly chilly day.

Yes! The Beast! Since our last few trips have been at much hotter times of year we hadn't seen him in awhile so we quickly hopped in line.

As we were getting closer we kept noticing this woman trying to cut the line and get her pic with him. The handler was getting really annoyed as he kept telling her to get in line. Just as it was Caitlin's turn the woman ambushed the Beast and got her pic. Some folks just don't get it.

Caitlin was super happy to see him though and isn't this pic cute?!

After the photo op we continued on around WS and noticed this beautiful topiary out for the "soon to start" Flower Fest

Seriously, don't you just love this view?!

When we got to the UK Pooh and his friends had also arrived for the Flower Fest

I wish the topiaries could stay up year round! They are so fun and add such beauty!


We spent some time browsing around the UK shops and noticed they had changed the Pooh photo spot. It now looks like Christopher Robin's bedroom

When we came out of the store we noticed that the British Revolution was getting ready for a show. We grabbed a seat on the ground, right down in front and had a blast! (although I kind of resented that their idea of oldies is music from the 80's!)

After the show the band posed for pics and of course Caitlin was eager to join them.

These guys put on a great show and if you have a chance you should catch their act. We think they're better than the old one (whose name is completing escaping me right now. It sucks getting old)

After the show as we walked by the telephone booths we noticed people inside them taking pics. Like any good Dis-ser Caitlin keeps the number the in her phone so she called them and chatted for a minute. It's always fun to surprise people like that

As we continued on our world tour Canada was next of course. As we strolled through the shop Caitlin took a moment to honor her beloved Detroit Red Wings by stopping to "boo" the Canucks merchandise. (my apologies to our Canadian Dis friends)

After touring Canada it was time for...

We sat down in the waiting area, which is quite dark, but before long we got sort of a creepy feeling. We suddenly realized ants were crawling all over us Someone must have left some food or something in the area we chose to sit in. Gross! (or else it was karma paying her back for booing the Canucks)

We brushed ourselves off and caught the movie. We like Martin Short so we always enjoy this movie. Plus, who can resist that theme song? It is as infectious as "It's a Small World".


After the movie we had to decide what to do next...stay in World Showcase or head to Future World. I'll let Caitlin fill you in on what we chose

The movies tend to be really boring which I don't really understand because they are supposed to be travel films and attract tourists They do make a nice airconditioned place to nap though.

Hi ladies, I just found your report a couple days ago and now I am caught up. You took some great pictures. I love that the Pooh photo shoot is in Christopher Robin's bedroom now. Pooh is one of my favorites. It sounds like you were having a fun trip but I can't imagine how Caitlin ran in shoes that didn't fit.

Can't wait to hear more.
