Oh you poor thing - running in flat tennis shoes. Yikes! Reminds me of the time I did a half marathon in running shoes that were a 1/2 size too small. I ordered them on line and I didn't feel like sending them back thinking they would stretch - Not! At one point I had to stop and take them off and on.

You ear muffs are so cute and so is your running outfit. I didn't know you could pose with characters during a race. Cool!

I hope you eventually got your shoes back. Our first day, Jeff went to the gym, met us at the pool, put his shoes under the chair and we never saw them again....he had bought them right before we left

Why is it that we always forget the things that we need the most? I would have panicked and freaked out if I didn't have the running shoes that I needed.

Bummer about no more GF but hey, the Art of Animation should be fun. All the pictures I've seen look AMAZING. And you know how I feel about SSR and the BW.

The race looks like a lot of fun. So cute about the Tangled theme. I love that movie.

I am not too choked up about it but I was excited about GF. My mom was excited about the Art of Animation and she thought she should stay there for work and a chance to check it out.

It was a lot of fun and I also love that movie! I can't wait to meet them at the Halloween Party!

Aw! Yeah it was definitely a rough run but I got over it and only had sore feet for a while

It was tough! Oh trust me I will be double checking for those! I plan on packing them as soon as my running plan ends which is about three days before the race so no worries

I hope I get a chance to stay there again! My mom really wanted to stay in the Little Mermaid section but they ended up getting one of the suites.

Hi All! Hope you're all having a great weekend and that the weather where you are is as beautiful as it is here!


So when Caitlin left off we had eaten breakfast at POFQ and had gone back to the room to shower, change and then checkout of POR. IF you remember when we checked into POR we had a hard time hauling our luggage to our room so when we were ready to head out we called bell services for someone to help with our bags. I felt it was definitely worth the few bucks to avoid the hassle. We were told someone would be "right there" and so we called for a cab. 15 minutes later we got a call that the cab was out front but we were still waiting for bell services. After waiting another 15 minutes we got a call that the cab was leaving After a total of 45 minutes we decided to haul our bags ourselves and called for another cab. What a pain!

By the time we got there the cab was waiting and quickly took us over to Pop. (for those interested a cab ride between POR and POP cost $14 w/tip)

When we got to Pop Caitlin told me she'd grab the bags and check them since it was highly unlikely our room would be ready at 10:30am. I went inside feeling a little grumpy after being up so early for the race and then the hassles with the luggage at Por. Well as luck would have it I got the most awesome CM who totally turned our morning around! Trina pulled up our reservation and noted that I had requested the 60's. She told me she was going to make a call so she could get my request. Now I don't know about you, but I rarely get my requests. Well Trina was so great not only was she honoring our request she was finding out which room was already available so we could go straight to our room! How's that for service?!

Meanwhile,Caitlin was outside also getting fantastic service! When I got out to her she was with the manager of Pop who had seen her and grabbed our bags from her! Himself! He then engaged her in conversation while she waited for me. We were super impressed with the service at Pop and I let the manager know that. He told me that he believes just because they are a "value" resort doesn't mean they can't provide 4star service. We then talked a bit about the new Art of Animation. He said he had toured the day before and that people will be blown away and won't believe it's a value resort. When we finished talking he asked one of the bell hops to deliver our bags and we headed off to our room.

Yep it was Epcot day!
Even though the Flower Fest hadn't started there were still lots of flowers to be seen!

Caitlin has been practicing her "artsy" shots

We cut through Future World and headed toward World Showcase. We had a lunch adr we were very excited about

We walked through Mexico but didn't stop

When we got to Norway we decided we had time to ride Maelstrom since it was a walk on

I love this little "village"

After our ride we continued on as our lunch date was approaching

China was ready for the Festival

We continued on through Germany

Karamel Kruche was empty

We cut through the Christmas shop

and I bought this ornament

(Dale was born in Germany so I thought it was a nice souvie for our all Disney tree)

I'm real curious to know how you felt right then. Were you excited about going to a new resort? Or were you silently cursing yourselves for having to pack and leave POR? Or somewhere in between?

Ever notice your definition of 'right now' or 'right there' is never the same as the person who is supposed to help you? No matter what job it is?

Aww yuck! I wish you were having the 80 degree sunshine and blue sky weekend we're having!

I really like doing split stays. We pack a seperate bag for each resort so we're only unpacking and then repacking a few things.

Dale is a retail manager so I know how much it means to him to get compliments on his staff so I wanted to make sure this gentleman knew how impressed we were as soon as we arrived. I also made sure he knew they were much better than a moderate.
