I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I don't register mine. I'm also spending half on online bills and the rest at Costco, the vet, the car dealer for oil change, and they go fast but I usually just buy maybe 10 in a month. And my staples lets me have 10 by doing two transactions. They always ask for ID, even though I get the same lady almost every time. She also gives me half and says please open these.
I usually help them by opening them too. I don't want to hold up the line and I think that since they kinda know me, they appreciate it.

Csr question—one of my coworkers got his csr when it first came out. He was going to cancel with the new annual fee hits in November but another colleague told him to cancel and apply again (told him there is a 200k offer but I think that’s for the new business card). I do see a 125k ur offer but is there any strategy or caveats here? How long do you have to wait after canceling?

Quicker if he pc's it to a freedom. Make sure he's got a other ur card before he cancels.

I think it's still 30 days after you cancel a chase card but am not positive.

Transferred UR to Flying Blue last night to book an economy flight and it's taking its sweet time to get to my FB account. Last time it was instant.

I do wonder if it's hung up because I had transfered UR to BA a bit earlier to book our NRT to HKG flight. I know there's issue if you do a test transfer before a bigger one to the same program but I've also never transferred from two programs in one day nevermind less than an hour apart.

At least I'm not worried about the seats disappearing and worst case we take a different time.

Just a rant.... I had great flights to and from FCO for February. Both legs have now been changed by the airlines. To FCO they added another layover. I was ok with one but now it is two (plus I have to get to the east coast from my home airport). And returning they moved the last leg up 3 hours so just 1 hour layover in PHL (would have to go through customs and get luggage). AA now doesn't have any later direct flights to my home airport so I have to add another layover. No good alternatives showing up on points right now.
Update. I found an outbound flight through Zurich on Swiss Air. I had Lufthansa booked through AirCanada. I was able to cancel, fee free, by calling customer support. I tried cancelling on line but it was going to charge me the award cancellation fee. After calling and he saw my flight changed by adding a layover, it was cancelled free. Rebooked with Aeroplan points on Swiss Air.

Now I still have to figure out the return flights.

There's a Chase pop-up now. If he doesn't get the pop-up, he can get the CSR again. When it first started some with a past Sapphire were able to get CSP/CSR. But DPs now seem to be all pop-up.

If he's getting rid of the card anyways, guess it doesn't hurt to try. I think downgrading to a Freedom is better - keeps the account history, can upgrade to CSP or CSR if needed, and only need to wait 4 days. Canceling he needs to wait 30 days.

The letter for my CIU denial finally posted. There are 2 reasons listed:
-too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us
-Insufficient business revenue

Like I said, I was only 3/24, with 2 biz cards open. DH was 4/24 at time of app, with 2 biz cards open also. I put the same business revenue I’ve been putting for like 4 years now. We used the same business revenue/income on both mine and his application. Go figure.

Are your total Chase credit line (personal and biz) also similar?

$100 software subscription credit posted on USB Triple Cash biz. Since it takes 11 months of consecutive charges, nice to see it in action. 11th charge was last statement and current statement just closed.

I did seats.aero. Nice to get a year of pro for $20 on a no AF card.

If anyone is interested, current SUB is elevated again. $750 for $6000 spend over 180 days.

My total CL with Chase is $5k more than my husband's currently, so pretty close. Still well below 50% of household income, and even below 35% at that. Maybe it could be that my CIP didn't clear off? I waited 9 days after cancelling, I thought that was enough.

I just got denied for the "too many requests for credit" reason as well. I'm 4/24 with 1 biz card open so thought I would be clear. I'll wait a little and try an app for DH before support ends. He's also 4/24 but with 2 biz cards open so I'm not sure we'll be able to get another ink!

Thank you! This is pretty much exactly what I told him and he came to the same conclusion.

I need to Venmo someone some $ for beef (Got 1/4 Cow from them). I know in the past I could use my Chase Card and it would count towards my SUB - but I don't think that is the case anymore. Can someone confirm?

7 days is what gets floated. But it's really just a crowdsourced educated guess. Who knows what goes on in Chase's system. Maybe something that usually runs didn't run.

I hope your next attempt is successful!

I can't confirm for Chase but I do know that it did not count on Amex. Its one of those purchases that its better safe than sorry and miss a sub if they decide its not eligible

I sent with my Chase SW Card. Will see what happens. I still have lots of time to meet the SUB.
