We're thinking of renting a car in Detroit and then driving to Florida, I was just wondering if anyone has any coupons from their entertainment book that they're not using. Thsnks!
Just be sure you are allowed to take the car all the way to Florida when you book. Sometimes there are exclusions in the contract that won't allow the car to be taken more than "X" number of miles from the rental point.
As far the limitations, it says unlimited mileage and nothing else regarding that, so I assume it would be okay. I'm sure they don't encourage it because it is a lot of miles but I'm sure it's not unheard of right?
We have rented from Alamo in Detroit twice. One to drive to Florida and once to North Carolina. Check the prices for different Alamo locations. Last time we rented it was cheaper to rent from the Southfield location so you don't have to pay the airport tax from renting at the Metro location. It is a much smaller location but still easy to get to (on Telegraph near I-696).
