@FastPasser. There seems to be a lot of rumbling about alternating SWGS with JBJB (or whatever they do). Any insight on this? Probable or wishful thinking?
I have heard external rumbling regarding either alternating between the SW and JBJB dessert parties or performing JBJB just on select nights during Nov and Dec, but nothing official yet.
I think alternating the shows and parties would be great for guests, but it's kind of out the box thinking and it would be a logistical challenge, not that they can't do it, for managers to facilitate completely different shows and parties every other night. I'm hoping they do, it would be fun.
There are a bunch of SW dessert party reviews on the SW thread. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to express them there. I hear there is someone on there that is extremely familiar with the SW dessert party.
Did you see "Symphony in the Stars" or was it the current "Star Wars, a Galactic Spectacular" show?
Did the Star Wars most recently in May and did the HEA with Plaza Garden Viewing this weekend. We are huge star wars fans and all prefer the HEA dessert party.
I actually like the food and drinks better with star wars but HEA trumps Star Wars in seating availability during the party without questions. The area HEA has the party is just better in every possible way. Once you move to the garden for viewing there is plenty of room with some great views. So, what I give up in bread pudding, chewbacca mugs and alcoholic drinks is easily made up for with more room and dedicated seating.
If I was in a small group of just adults I might lean towards star wars but for large groups or families, HEA wins hands down.
Is the Star Wars Desert Party ending in January? I was looking into booking tickets for my upcoming trip at the end of Feb and all dates after Jan 31st are greyed out. Is it something you can only book a certain amount of time in advance?

They load them in the system sporadically. If I’m planning on going I just make a habit of checking every day or so, just know that even if the dates turn blue it may still be a couple of days to actually be fully loaded.
After having done the wishes Dessert party during it's early days & again about a year & several price hikes later I swore never to waste my money on it again because honestly viewing the Fireworks from Tomorrowland Terrace is just about the worst possible view for any fireworks show in MK.
Out of curiosity, are there some large obstructions associated with this seating, tall trees, etc., that have turned you away from the Terrace seating? I looked into purchasing this package, but i'm curious if there's something about it I'm missing that I'm not seeing in YouTube videos from that area.
Last trip we were going to skip HEA - have done the parties but just don't care for the desserts or the views (MK Terrace) but after seeing the Garden View pictures we opted last minute to book it. Great views with lots of personal space.

I know this wasn’t directed at me, but HEA has a significant amount of projections on the castle that are in many respects integral to the show. The distance and side angle view from the Terrace just aren’t ideal for the best views of the projections and many don’t like the side angle of the fireworks.
Here’s a view from earlier this year towards the right side of the Tomorrowland Terrace. As you can see, while a beutiful view, you can’t really see the “bottom” portion of the castle and there are some high trees in the way. And this is from one of the (arguably) better tables on the Terrace... the view changes a bit from side to side.
This shows the angle of the big fireworks in relation to the view. This pic is technically Wishes, but HEA is the same in terms of the location of the big fireworks, so you get the idea. I’ll be honest, I don’t like the combination of projections, castle fireworks, and big fireworks from this location. It’s OK, but the Plaza Garden view is much better, in my humble opinion.
Thanks GADisneyDad14 and LSUfan4444! While I think I could survive in the seated area, I’m sure my DD would be much more satisfied in the Plaza Garden area. That’s where we’ll shoot for reserved tickets. Thanks for everyone’s help in this thread! It’s very helpful.

Others already showed you what the view from Tomorrowland Terrace looks like so you can see why I think it is a crappy viewing location with the fireworks way off to the side. I did give in & book the HEA Dessert Party Plaza View this past September. The Plaza Viewing Location in general is a decent spot to view the show from. Unfortunately there are several lamp posts that you can't really avoid near the viewing area. I won't be doing the party again though because the desserts were absolutely awful, sugar overload. So I'm not about to spend the money just for the viewing area. I'll be sticking with the Frozen Dessert Party & maybe the Star Wars one if they go back to Symphony in the Stars which I think was way better than the current show since it had way more awesome Fireworks instead of relying on so many projections. I am doing Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam on Sunday & Frozen on Thursday.

Thanks! I appreciate your insight on it all. So much to take in about how it all works, just wanting to make sure I’m as informed as I can be when it comes time to try and make reservations.
