Dessert party for HEA or Fantasy in the Sky ??

We will be at Disney from 12/29 to 01/05 and have the Dessert party booked for MK fireworks on 12/30 (11h50). Not sure if I should have booked for HEA a few days later instead??

That depends on if you want to see HEA.
HEA will be running on 12/30 at 6:30PM.

HEA is a different and newer show than the New Years Fireworks (Fantasy in the Sky.)
(Both shows will run on Dec. 30 and 31.)

If you want to see HEA, you need to book on 1/01/18 or later.

HEA is a newer and more spectacular show than Christmas Wishes (12/30/17.)

I would do HEA via dessert party with the garden view. It's a great view of the castle projections which is a huge part of HEA.

Holiday wishes is less projection heavy and thus viewing location less important, IMO.

You're right.
The MK New Years fireworks (Fantasy in the Sky) are a different show than Holiday Wishes.
(Holiday Wishes' last night would be 12/29.)

I'd be sure to see both the New Year's fireworks and HEA.
(Both shows will run on Dec. 30 and 31.)
BTW, I never book the dessert party for MK fireworks, so that is entirely up to you.

I have not seen it, but would think yes, it would not be good.

I did it back in 2014, before they offered the garden view, and I loved it! For what I lost in the view of the castle, I made up for by seeing Tinkerbell fly right over us, and not having to endure the gaggle of people in virtually everywhere.

Keep the dessert party for Fantasy in the Sky. There will be massive crowds so you will be at an advantage. See HEA without the party later in the week when the crowds lessen!

Agreed. It will be monstrously crowded and if the 360º portions are not paramount, the desert party is a good choice.

Any particular reason Holiday Wishes ends on 12/29 this year? Usually the 30th and 31st run Holiday Wishes and then Fantasy in the Sky.

OP--We decided on the party for the 11:50 fireworks as it'll be a zoo on 12/30.
