Does anyone have pricing info for the dessert parties? I am thinking I may actually have one as a welcome party since there are only a few people coming early.

Also where is the location for the dessert party at Hollywood studios?

Thanks

I do. Stacey emailed me all the info. I'll try and PM it to you. ;)

I think for Hollywood Studios it is somewhere around Fantasmic???? I could be wrong.

At Hollywood Studios you're on one of the two patios at the back of the amphitheater. There's a $750 food and beverage minimum.

In Epcot you pay a site fee ($250-$575, depending on location) and then a minimum of $22 per person for food and beverage. There's also a $75 setup fee for any location but Upper UK.

Both parks have a $12.95/pp viewing fee for any guest who doesn't have park admission, and both require you to charter transportation for your guests (there are a few exceptions at Epcot - you can walk in to some of the venues, like France and UK).

Anyone know if DPs can be done on nights that happen to have Extra Magic Hours evening? And if so, can guests who didn't pay admission um... sneak off and go ride a ride or two? LOL

Just wondering 'cause I know for sure our guests will ask me about this.

The extra magic hours have those wristbands. It is pretty difficult to stand in line for an attraction with out those wristbands. To get the wristband you have to show your ticket.

Sorry

Oh yeah, that's right. I totally forgot about the wristbands.
Haha, guess I gotta tell my guests they're still going to need tickets! If only the Wedding ticket "discount" wasn't so pathetic lol.

Another DP question: How long do they usually run for? Just trying to get an idea of what time our guests would need to be in town by to attend. I assume they have to make it in time to whatever transportation brings them into the pavilion.

They usually run for 1 hour, but you can extend them. To extend the food service costs money (a pro rated amount based on the per person cost of your menu), but to just extend the time is free.

Our bus started picking people up at 7:00 for an 8:30 DP, but the schedule depends on how many stops your bus has to make.

I remember reading a while ago about a CM handing out wrist bands for EMH at a desert party. Not sure if they usually do this or not. Unfortunately our desert party is on a Monday in Epcot and it is not an EMH there that night. I kind of hoped it was just incase.

Just a note on the MGM (or DHS as some refer to it lol) dessert party...if there is rain (which equals a 50% chance or more) they will cancel the dessert party with no refunds. DF and I were going to have our Rehearsal dinner there (since we both LOVE Fantasmic) but after hearing this we switched to the UK lower. At Epcot they have an indoors backup location for rain. For ours we have 40 ppl on the guest list for the rehearsal dinner (over half of our 70 invited to the actual ceremony/reception! lol) and with the petit fours setup, location fee, set up fee, and admission for everyone it comes to about $2200. :) Hth!

Though it is not guaranteed (in fact, our planner told us explicitly that this would not happen when I asked), there is a possibility that you & your guests will receive EMH wristbands if your DP is on an Epcot (or DHS) EMH night. Our DP was on a Friday night in December, after Illuminations, our CM gave EMH wristbands to any of our guests who wanted to stay. Unfortunately, many were tired-- but some of our friends were able to take advantage. DH and I came back after we walked back to the Boardwalk to change clothes. We're such nerds! :rotfl:
