So DH and I went to Yak & Yeti on our last trip and were not impressed with the food. We also ordered too much and by the end of the meal were too full on not-so-great food that we didn't have room at all for dessert. REALLY wanted to try the dessert wontons! So we're going back in less than 4 weeks....:cool1: I still want to try the dessert wontons! BUT we don't want to do a whole meal at Yak & Yeti. I was hoping I could get the dessert from the counter service, but apparently not. It is possible to either go to Yak & Yeti (make an ADR) for JUST dessert OR just get the dessert to go? (And just eat it somewhere outside???)

Disney restaurants are no different than restaurants anywhere else. There is no restriction on what you can/have to order when you make an ADR. If you want to go just for dessert that's perfectly okay!! There are people who do this all the time!

I don't know about the take out part of the question though, unfortunately.

HTH!!

You can just walk in and sit at the bar as well and get your dessert (or whatever else), space permitting.

The desert wontons are always the best part of the meal at Yak and Yeti - my family loves them!

in October 09, I walked up with no ADR and was seated almost immediately one afternoon with the sole purpose of getting the wontons...totally worth it!

We got in as walk ups this past Sunday right at opening and ordered just appetizers. We were really planning on ordering dessert, but two orders of lettuce cups filled us up. The waitress seemed to be fine with us ordering just appetizers. I don't see where ordering just desserts would be any different.

I wouldn't do this at some places that get really packed or hard to get ADRs, but at Y&Y I think it would be totally fine.

If you don't want to go through making an ADR just for that, they have a bar in the lobby. You can sit there and order your dessert. I have taken out appetizers from the bar before, so I don't see any reason why they would not allow you to take out a dessert if you order there.

Thanks, everyone!! Totally gonna try to get back in there at least for dessert next month! :thumbsup2 DH thinks we might give the food another shot too. Always heard (and still hear) good things about it, thinking maybe we hit an off day or something. :confused3
