Can anyone tell me about this ride? We are planning a trip and we all really want to do this. I am hesitant because of how we felt after Forbidden Journey and Star Tours. Thanks :-)

Its a motion simulator. Not like Star Tours at Disney, or the Arctic ride at SW. It a large room with several small "cars" that move to a 3 d screen.

its cute, and you can see a minion at the end.

the pre show is the best part for me.

Try and hit it first thing, as lines get very long.

Everyone`s different with what sets off motion sickness, I can`t do Simpsons even once without being really bad. FJ I can do once or twice then no more.

But Despicable Me I`m fine with.....no motion sickness at all.

You would have to try and see how you were with it.

It`s a fun ride, hope you enjoy it :thumbsup2

FYi if you have ever been to Dollywood it is just like the polar express ride.

I can do FJ but Simpsons and DM just kill me. Next time I am going to try the stationary seats.

I agree about the Pre show being the best part! We just did this last week, I did stationary seating because Jimmy Neutron killed my bad back, and the little cars are exactly the same. It's the kind of three d movie that sometimes makes me a bit nauseated, but can just close my eyes at those bits. It's definitely good enough to do at least once!

It's more comparable to Star Tours than Forbidden Journey but less intense than either. I agree with everyone that the pre show is the best part although the ride is lots of fun too. Even if you have to use the stationary seats, don't miss it. I dare anyone to ride it and exit without a smile.

I did wimp out this trip and took some "less drowsy" Dramamine before hitting the parks each day. While I don't usually get full blown motion sickness, some of the simulator rides give me a tiny headache. Didn't have that issue this time and the Dramamine didn't make me sleepy of lessen the experience. I'm also pretty sure it helped on some of the roller coasters too as The Hulk seemed less intense this time around too (usually feels like my brain has shifted after exiting that ride).

When the ride was Jimmy Neutron, children under 40" could sit in the stationary seats with an adult. Is this still the case with Despicable Me? TIA

Great Ride! One of our favs! The motion sickness factor is slightly less than FBJ, but I managed to ride it at least several times per day last trip, and Number one son rode it many more than that!

Recents reports are that it is still the case.

I was just there over the weekend, and rode DM twice. The first time in a regular motion seat. The next day I wanted to try a stationary seat. I actually found the "motion" effect of the movie to be WORSE than sitting in a "car". I actually took the glasses off.....crazy!!!

Also, there was a lady with a young child on the bench beside us.
