Desperatly Seeking Star Wars. . .

I asked this elsewhere, but I"m going to ask here anyway.

DW and I are trying to plan our first trip to SSR to coincide with Star Wars Weekend 06. So far, nobody seems to have any idea when that is going to be. I know the first weekend was May 20 in 05.

Has ANYONE got a clue to when Star Wars Weekends will start in 06 (any CM's from MGM out there). I want to book my room.

This year it was scheduled from May 20- June 12 and then they added 2 more weeks onto it. Usually Disney follows the same event patterns (marathon always the 2nd weekend in January etc.). I would say if you planned to go to WDW at the end of May you'd be safe. But, I suppose you could call CRO- they should know for sure!

For the last few years, we have been at Disney during the last week of May/ first week of June. Every time we have been lucky enough to catch at least one of the SWW's. This past year we actually caught two of the weekends and my 12 y/o was in heaven!

Definitely plan on going during a SWW. It is a really neat experience for anyone that likes the Star Wars movies. We don't actually try to participate in all the SW activities they have going on, we just walk around and take in the atmosphere catching things as we happen upon them.

If you're really into SW and want to participate in as much as you can, you'll need to get a schedule ahead of time and plan your attack!

Exact dates are normally announced in February. Personally, I'll be shocked if the weekend of 5/19-21 isn't the first (or second) SWW in '06.
