Has anyone used the pixies from "Gifts for a Lifetime?" You know where they plan a big surprise or treasure hunt, etc? Did anyone use it and think it was worth the money?

So, I am liking this golf-surprise idea. Does anyone know if there is any kind of package associated with it? Can you get a lesson by a pro or anything? I know there are great golf courses, but that's about all I know. I think he would have more fun doing something exciting than getting "stuff."

There are several high powered golf schools in Florida and all over the country for that matter. Many of the resorts in Florida or wherever will have various packages you can buy that include everything from unlimited range balls, unlimited golf, lessons, etc. Does he have a buddy he could go with? That would probably be more fun otherwise do you golf? Maybe you could go with him and learn. That would be a GREAT gift for a golfing hubby for his wife to take up the game.

Call a couple resorts or look online and see what they have to offer. I know of a couple resorts in MN where you can get unlimited range balls, unlimited golf, golf cart for every round you play, meals and lodging for oh about $250-500/day depending on the resort. The Robert Trent Jones trail in Alabama is a popular golf destination and it pretty reasonable too.

My dad just did this in Florida - he loved it!! It was expensive though, almost 1,000. For DH bday and fathers day, I got him a fantasy football experience, where he gets to play football on his favorite NFL field.
