Design Star (spoiler alert)

I've been chastised for putting the results in the first sentence, so I'm going to write this extra sentence even though I put "spoiler alert" in the title. There.




I am SO glad Robb is off the show. He was so obnoxious and egotistical. I bet that those charge at HG TV told the judges they HAD to cancel his show because (1) no woman who has watched Design Star would watch Robb's show, and (2) no one who had watched Design Star would be willing to work on the crew of Robb's show.

I liked last season better, because this season there has only been one individual challenge. I like both Will and Kim a lot, but I really don't have a good idea of what their personal "style" is at all. I do, know, that of all of the contestants, I'd be most likely to hire Will, because he really listens to what people want and is very practical.

I think Todd will win. What do you think?

I was so excited when Robb was kicked off. He was rude to his team members and thought waaaay too highly of himself to seem likeable. And the part when he was crying at the end and calling the judges fools was hilarious. I think it's going to come down to Todd and Kim, and I think that Todd will win.

I felt so bad for Kim having to be paired up with Robb. He is just so rude. Glad he's gone.

I agree with you guys that it will come down to Kim and Todd. Not sure who would win though.

Anyway, I liked Robb, but I do like Todd more. IMO the only two that were really worthy of their own show were Robb and Todd.

I do agree that there should have been more indiviual challenges. What made the wedding challenge even worse is the total lack of unfied direction by the couple. It was a joke. I would have refused to go forward until the couple gave better direction.

And he was from Orlando!

He reminded me of the jerks I've worked with for 20 years in Atlanta... I so totally related to poor Kim. No one is better than me, if you think you are you're WRONG, and the only people I choose to be nice to are those who can do something for me... the rest of you can go to... ... YOU KNOW THE TYPE!

I can't help it but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Todd!!! I showed my son his "lazy susan living room" and thought MAN, I'd love something like that in my house!! Soooooo cool! I like him because he thinks outside the box. Nothing is as it seems with him, his imagination is limitless. He seems to be a big kid at heart and so loveable, even Robb got along with him!

AND he takes off his shirt...

I loved David last year but HATE his show. He seems so out of his league. And I couldn't stand the grinny, smiley cohost girl on the freebie show she was on....HOW do these people get such great jobs????? Besides, does HGTV need anymore "reveal shows"...???? I thought they died out with the "demise" of Trading Spaces popularity!

That's why I think the judges will gravitate toward Todd...I don't necessarily love his style, but he is SO creative....his could be more than a "reveal" show....it could be so inventive.

I wonder how much input HGTV had in "guiding" David on his show, and how much they left it up to him. I know that HGTV aired one "making of" show about David's show, but I didn't see it.

I wish they'd ask the viewers what we'd like to see.

I must be in the minority- I like Davids show. I LOVE his artwork.

As far as Rob- what a jerk. My husband who never watches it caught a bit of it and said that Rob was an a$$ and full of himself. Yeah, he's been like that since the first episode.
I have not been happy at all this season.I think they did need more individual challenges this year.

Check your local listings, but I think it replays at 9 pm CST tonight. It is also aired sometime late afternoon on Sundays, but I can't recall the time.

I've been telling my husband and son since the first show that Todd has this in the bag. Have you noticed that the two women judges drool all over him no matter what he does? He could nail egg cartons on the wall and paint them with tempra; they'd LOVE it!!! Especially the blonde judge just lights up when she's talking to him or he's talking at all. Hilarious!

Will is gonna be the next to go. He looks and thinks mature somehing the judge probably dont want. Kim has a chance if she cooks up something fabulous for the final challenge. Sparkle Josh also would have been a great host but odds are in favor of Todd.

I agree about his show. It seems they have him emphasizing different parts of his personality than he showed during the contest.

Haven't seen the current one in a couple of weeks but I agree that the Robb guy was a jerks. Is the glitter guy still in the group (Josh?)?

True. It also seems Vern is being particularly unpleasant this time around. I wonder if they told him to be more of a "Simon" this year.
