Design a new WDW restaurant- what would you do?

Change Nine Dragons into a more of a real Chinese restaurant. Maybe traditional dim sum service at lunch and a Hong Kong style elaborate banquet at night.

Something trendy and LA-chic at DHS... the kind of place that celebrities and the power-brokers actually eat at in 2011. Keep Brown Derby for its nostalgia, however.

I'd love to see the dull food at the Epcot U.S. pavilion replaced with contemporary regional American cuisine. Maybe a little bit from all over the country, with the menu developed in collaboration with the country's top chefs.

I'd just like to see a character meal with Pixar pals, and food served family-style (or pre-plated) to avoid chaos of a buffet.

Are they planning any new restaurants in the Fantasyland Expansion? Dining with Beauty and the Beast?

How about a 2 TS upscale restaurant for the parents, but instead of characters, kids are entertained either by having their own toyboxes at the table, or their own personal computer screens, or game system, or other games to keep them occupied so the parents can enjoy a 5 star meal without being interrupted every 2 seconds by the kids, but where the family can also be all together!
Or how about a nice restaurant with a huge play room with cast members on hand to take care of the kids! Something like they do at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach...you can see your kids from the big glass window, as they are entertained and you can quietly enjoy a nice, slow meal!

Mine is one that a lot of people have talked about. I want "Tiana's Place" to occupy the bones of Bonfamile's at the French Quarter. I don't necessarily want it to be a character meal, just a nice, casual table service place with a Cajun and/or Creole spin.

I think the Beach Club and Polynesian both need signature restaurants. Nothing against 'Ohana and I know the Yachtsman Steakhouse is right next door, but, IMO, all deluxe resorts should have a fine dining option.

I also like the idea previously mentioned for the American Adventure.

RIP Bonfamilles! One of my most favorite disney memories happened there.

I presume you've tried Sanaa at the new wing of the AK lodge? It's Indian/African, but very good.

I have not, but thanks for the tip. I still want to see one at AK though. Like DHS, the restaurants at AK underwhelm me. :confused3

YES!! Poly needs a signature. Although a place like Roy's would be OK, something smaller and even more upscale would be welcomed (like Chef Mavro or Alan Wong's in Honolulu). I wouldn't mind if it had a 10 & up policy like V&A. I think there's a market for it.

For Beach Club, maybe a seafood house/oyster bar with a classy retro feel.

I love these two ideas!! I would love to see a dim sum restaurant & I also think there should be a TS restaurant in the America Pavilion!

I think they should add a Toy Story character meal to either Whispering Canyons in the WL or Trails End in FW!

I also so the idea that the other poster came up with for Tiana's Place. It seems like the obvious choice to me!

I would love to see South America represented at the World Showcase. We all know there's room for another pavilion. What about Brazil with a traditional Brazilian Churrascaria (steak house)?

I'd also love a signature-level character meal. Something good for adults and/or boys!

I'd love to see a TS in adventureland in MK that is very tropical with lots of fresh fruit, especially fresh pineapple.

This sounds a little weird, but I was reading another thread a few years ago...and someone posted a picture of the fake food at the Swiss Family Treehouse with lots of fresh fruit on the table...and it looked really scrumptious!

Plus, the MK needs better TS, and something in adventureland or frontierland.

Also...bring back the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Show with lunch and/or dinner. I know it probably lost money. I don't care. It was one of the most enjoyable things at WDW, IMHO.

I only saw it once in its full glory in 1992. Can anyone comment on whether it had been abbreviated at all before then? It was still a full show then that we had to make reservations for, first thing in the morning at Guest Relations.
