Desert @ DTD

What is the best spot for dessert in DTD? My wife and I are leaving the kids with Grandma and Grandpa for one night out and will be dining at Portobello. I'm wondering if there is somewhere better to get desert than at Portobello. Any suggestions?

If you enjoy ice cream, I suggest Ghiradelli's:We just had cones/single scoop servings but the sundaes looked fantastic.
We liked it so much that when we went to San Francisco we made sure to save room to go to the "original" near Fisherman's Wharf

Yes, been to the Ghiradelli square several times. It's great. We have a Ghiradelli here in Chicago too which we hit a few times a year so I'm looking for something else.

Raglan Road. Best bread pudding I've ever had. Ever. Their "Dunbrody Kiss," a sort of chocolate mousse-cake-thing, is also amazing. We go there every trip just to get dessert.

I second Raglan Road ! and i'll throw in Wolfgang Puck Cafe because I love the Carrot Cake !! DH and I will go to both places and sit at the bar for drinks and desert ! on different nights of course

I don't think it gets any better than the hot fudge/peanut butter sundae at Ghiradelli's! Now I'm craving one...yum!

Babycakes is AWESOME - and gluten free and vegan. Get a cookie sandwich- the best!

Most ppl will tell you Ghiradelli which is very good but.. I have another suggestion.. Trex for a extinction dessert! Its a fun restaurant with lots to look at ( a little loud but thats ok) the extinction dessert is HUGE, 4 pieces of chocolate cake with carmel layers in it and topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, in the middle they put a shaker glass full of dry ice to make it look like a volcano steaming.. It really is very good! This way you get to check out Trex as wel// Oh and I suggest getting the cottontini cocktail, its pineapple juice with a tropical flavor rum poured over cotton candy its yummy, I get it every yr!
