Birkenstock Wearing

Since when does this make someone a bad person (or a liberal)? I'm a passionate conservative whose been wearing Birkenstocks since 1990, and I'd never vote for Kerry. And there are a fair number of people at Starbucks this morning ordering Lattes that will vote for Bush in November. And likewise, there are lots of gun-toting, southern rednecks and big business CEO’s who'll vote for Kerry. I think these kind ad hominem attacks are utterly pointless.

i would venture to guess that 99% of the people ordering lattes at the starbucks down the street from where i work will be voting for bush. ;)

There are people in DC that will vote for Bush? It must have changed a lot since I lived there. ;)

As for the two word description for Senator Kerry, I'll skip the name calling and just say that he is, IMO

anti defense

>>What's the debate?<<

It seems to have erupted when I used the term "latte." Sorry, I agree that the boutique coffee market isn't in and of itself pro-Kerry.

well, did you live here during the clinton administration? :p many many many government employees, especially the appointed types are now republicans. the starbucks near where i work is the closest starbucks to the treasury building and the white house. i'm guessing a large number of their clientele will vote republican.

of course, dc is still like 99% democrat, but a lot of people who work here (and consume starbucks here :teeth: ) aren't residents of dc.

Yeah, go ahead, alienate the Starbucks vote.

I do prefer Dunkin Donuts coffee....but that isn't the debate, is it?
