Would love some thoughts. Going to WDW from 8/20-8/29 with DH, and DDs (twins, age 10). Just booked my ADRs yesterday and made a Kona Cafe ADR for 10am on our departure day. Originally, we were planning on driving from NJ. When I made my ADR list, I counted on having our car. Just this week, I saw a great deal on a flight on SW... so, now we are flying. No car.

I'm wondering if the Kona ADR is a good idea since we will be relying on Disney transport and staying at POFQ. Our flight is at 4:30 and DME will pick up at 1:30. We are planning on staying late at MK the night before for Wishes. I know Kona is supposed to be great, but not sure if I want to stress out about getting everyone up and out early on our last day and then getting back in time for DME. I might even be able to fit in Kona on another day. What other things could we do on our last day that are closer to POFQ? DTD? How's Wolfgang Puck for breakfast? Any other ideas? It's our first time staying at the resort. TIA!

Take a cab from pofq to poly... We did something similar when we had a 1130 at wilderness lodge.. The cab ride was 15 bucks and no worries about being late...afterwards you could take the boat to mk then bus back to pofq

Cab to Poly from POFQ is going to be around 25 (based on experience) but was what we did to make Ohana reservation. If you really don't want to risk it, then DTD boat would be good. We have done Puck express for lunch many times, no experience with breakfast. Boat doesn't start until 10 - I believe but you would still have plenty of time that early in the morning.

How about just a quick breakfast at the resort and then DTD and lunch there? This is what we've done and it worked great. You could go down early and have breakfast [beignets even!] and then go back to the room to pack and clear out the room. Drop everything with luggage services at the resort. Then be down at the dock at 10:00 to catch an early boat to DTD. Poke around the shops. Let the kids play at the Lego store. Then an early lunch--maybe T. Rex, Rainforest? Boat back to the resort to catch the bus for the airport. Seems like a much more relaxing way to end your vacation!

I like this idea! As much as my heart was set on Kona as a departure breakfast, this feels more relaxing and less stressful.

My family love Kona, but the food is too big for me there. What about getting some beniegts (can never spell that right) or get so po'boys for lunch at POR, leave the car at the resort and take the pontoon to DTD and enjoy yourself there for a bit and then potoon back? No parking worries then, just beware that the pontoon can be a little slow.
