Departure Day idea?

Hello! Our flight just got got converted from a direct to non direct flight (was originally an 11 am departure). Now the only direct flight option is a 6:45 pm departure. I’m looking for direct because I’m flying alone with my 4 year old.
In all my years of going to Disney I have only had morning flights. My question is any suggestions on what we could do for the day, my 4 year old and I? We will be staying at pop and I’m not sold on buying an additional park day.

We usally do disney springs on departure day. Don't have to buy another park ticket and still has disney transportation.

You can still swim at your resort after check-out, so I would check-out, store your baggage and have some fun at the pool.

Other ideas are going mini-golfing and enjoying a fun lunch out at Disney Springs...

monorail hopping . a later breakfast at toppolinos or chef mickey.

I don't know how long you are staying, but sometimes adding a day onto an existing ticket is about the least expensive thing you can do. It's worth looking into. Otherwise, swim, Disney Springs, Mini-golf, Monorail, Skyliner, or Character Meal are all possibilities.

Just a reminder if you swim not all locker rooms are open to showering afterwards if that is important to you.

I wish COVID didn't close the arcades. A few years ago my then 11yo and I tried to hit as many resort arcades as possible and play a couple games in each and grab a resort snack if we were hungry. It was a blast! We got to check out new to us resorts. She's now 16 and still talks about that trip.

Putt Putt is a great idea, after a leisurely morning. Maybe a swim. Disney Springs could take a few hours in your afternoon. A different trip, daughter and I had a great lunch at Paddlefish and then rode the Amphicar. The Amphicar is the single most favorite thing she has done on any of our trips. (Mother/Daughter Trip #6 is next weekend.)
