Camping At Jablines with Montana 6 Tent

We woke at our usual time 07:30 this time Ethan was a sleep so Bruce and I stayed in our airbeds and discussed how we were going to play the day. The kids woke up around 07:45 I took Casey to the toilets and got us ready whilst poor Bruce organized himself and the boys. By the time, Casey and I arrived back at the tent Bruce had already started packing as they had breakfast. Was I that long? :confused3 :lmao:

We started to pack our clothes and toiletries. Bruce swept the floor whilst I organized the boys and Casey. We decided as we were about to take the tent down we would sit them in them in the car so we would not have to worry about chasing them around. Whilst we were taking the tent down a woman came over and asked us about our tent, which made Bruces day. You could see how proud he was that someone liked the tent and you could almost see the Cheshire cat grin while he was showing her. Taking down the tent was easy, but Bruce had the hard part of putting it all back into the car. For some reason we had less room, although we did not really have that much more. Bruce took it all out of the boot and repacked it.

We left the campsite at 11:30 and we all felt sad that the holiday was over. Our speed cat was not until 23:30 so we were not sure what we would do. I suggested that we go to Val d Europe and Auchun as we needed some more wipes and Bruce wanted to get some cheep beer. We decided that we would need to leave 18:00 the latest.

We went to Auchun and had a look round. We did not get a trolley and Bruce’s arms were hurting from the basket and we could not find the wipes. I suggested to Bruce to wait there while I went and had a look. I took Casey with me and we went up this steep non-step escalator so you could take your trolley up to the next level. We finally found the wipes as we turned the corner I heard a crash. I looked round and there was this poor French women caught between the escalator and her trolley. Her trolley fell over at the top of the escalator and the escalator was pushing her legs into the trolley. I ran over dropped the wipes and I could not find a stop button so I grabbed the trolley to try to pick it up, but it was caught. A man ran over as I pulled the trolley he found the stop button and helped me pull the trolley out of the way. I then helped put all her shopping away and she thanked me. Her legs looked bruised and I would not want to wake up in the morning with that injury. I felt so sorry for her. :bitelip: :guilty:

After Auchun Casey said, she was hungry and I already had enough of shopping. Shopping is not really my thing anyway. I suggested we ate at Disney Village and have a look around there.

We headed towards Disney and I said I noticed last night that Disney parking for the village is much closer than parking at Disneyland park parking. We headed over to the village parking to find it was a multi storey parking. Bruce said we would not get free parking with our annual passes if we parked here. I said look watch how close we are. It was 10 euros for 24 hour parking. As soon as we exited out of the car park Bruce realized we were right outside the cinema and we were in fact so close to the village and the parks. If we had known this earlier, we would have used this car park instead of using the other one. Which would of cost us two euros more each day if we had not had annual passes, however we still would of paid 10 euros per day to park here.

We went to McDonalds. As usual, we had Big Tasty Burger  so we could get our free glasses. The kids had happy nugget meals. We ate outside as it was packed and these were the only tables left. It was quite windy, but it was nice to eat outside.

I said to Bruce shall we go to Disneyland Park. Bruce was quite surprised I mentioned this, as last night I was adamant I would not go back as I continually compared the DLP to Florida. However, I still enjoyed myself. We went into Disney store shop in the village, as we wanted to get some toys for the kids. They chose some grabber toys we saw some Mickey plates that had 30% off. We bought two dinner and small plates. I am so chuffed with them that I am always washing them up so we can eat of them. :)

We headed over to the park at 13:30. We went on It’s a small world again but the boys love it. We also went on Mad Hatters Tea Party. I love this ride its so funny trying to spin around. By this point, we noticed the park is quieter than it has been since we arrived. It was lovely that it was not overcrowded I really could relax and take in the atmosphere. We went on Peter Pans Ride. Guess what we rode this with no fast pass. OMG I was shocked a 20 minute wait so we decided hey lets go now!

After Peter Pan, we went on Snow White Ride. The boys were a little scared of this ride. I think it is different to the one in Florida, but I could be wrong. I thought it was quite good really; we waited for about 20 minutes for this ride. We were so shocked and having a whale of a time. The only problem was time was running out fast. :sad2:

We had a drink, as the kids were so thirsty. Bruce came back and said he checked Pinocchio ride and it says 55 minutes, but no way is it 55 minutes there is hardly anyone waiting. We waited for about 15 minutes for this ride. We thought it was sweet. The boys were not impressed it scared them a little. They were still having fun.

Casey wanted to see the Tarzan show so we decided to take her to see the 17:15 show. We were in the middle about three rows from the front. We wanted Casey to be involved in the show this time, as last time they had children come down and play with the pots and pans. I said to Casey that they would ask you all to come up soon so sit next to Ethan so she was at the end of the bench. As soon as they dropped the pots and pan, Casey ran up to them and started to play with them. I shouted to Casey not yet as she ran there so I got up and moved Casey and said in a minute they are not ready yet. She was so embarrassed and I really felt for her. When they were ready Casey went down and played, but her face said it all afterwards that she was so embarrassed. I felt bad it was obviously my fault for moving her too early. :guilty:

It was time to leave Disneyland. It was 17:40 and we said by the time we get to the car it would be 18:00. We headed over to the car park and put the kids back into the car. We could not believe how close the parking was really regretted that we had not found this before. This would have saved our legs. It would be me pushing the double buggy and Bruce carrying Casey on his shoulders back to the car.

We took a slow drive up towards Boulogne. We had a nice drive the kids slept all the way to the port. We arrived a little early and the kids were hungry as they had not eaten since lunchtime and it was 21:15. We said we would check in an hour before so we decided to get something to eat. Can you guess where we ate………………. :rotfl: Yes, we ate at McDonalds again and yes, we had the same big tasty burger so we could get our free glasses. I can certainly say I was fed up with McDonalds by the time we left.

This was scary seeing boeings drive across a bridge above a motorway. Especially when you realise you drive under the bridge. :scared1:

We drove up to the port for around 22:00 there was a big queue. We were a little confused so I got out of the car to see what was happening. It was clear that we should all park and wait and that the check in was not open. As soon as it was 22:30, the traffic started moving. We were getting concerned, as it was 22:30 as we approached the customs. As soon as we arrived, they informed us that there was a two-hour delay. We were so disappointed as we just wanted to get home, because we were so tired and we did not know what to do about the kids. As soon as we parked up in lane 10, the kids started playing up in the car. Fighting and arguments. I thought oh no. :scared1: We had a car next to us that insisted on playing his music quite loud so it was a little difficult for Bruce to sleep with the music and the kids. We kept asking the kids to sleep so Bruce could get some sleep for the drive although it was an hour’s drive from Dover we did not want to take any chances. Luckily, we all fell a sleep and I heard the horn of the ferry come in so it woke me up and Bruce woke up as well. I thought I was coming down with a cold my nose was streaming and my throat hurt, so I was feeling rough. Finally, they started to board us on the sea cat. We woke the kids up and they played with Lego on the ferry while Bruce got me a coffee and some polos for my throat. We had a smooth crossing and were in Dover at no time.

We arrived at Dover at 01:55 and they disembarked the sea cat quickly so we were soon were on our way. On the way back their was a horrible accident on the M2 coast bound and they closed the motorway. It did not affect us, but it was horrible to see a bad crash. Luckily, we could not really see anything due to the Lorries but there must have been two fire brigade and lots of ambulance and police. It must have been bad.

We arrived home at 03:00 and we put the kids to bed straight away and we all slept until 10:00am.

Overall, we had a great holiday. I really enjoyed the last day the most. It was not crowded like it had been and we managed to do more in those couple of hours than we had done the previous days before. We really liked the theming of the park. Especially Adventure land. They put so much into this and it showed. It was nice to know that if we wanted to see Disney then DLP would be magical enough for us to enjoy ourselves and experience the magic without the huge expense of Florida. Although I could not ever not return back to Florida as Florida offers much more but it is the whole of Orlando I love and not just Disney over there. So knowing that DLP is as special as MK in Orlando and I could not afford Florida we have a great alternative. Just a pity it had to end. :sad1:

Oh, I was so excited to come home and find that you had posted another day!!! Thanks so much!

It sounds like you had many adventures that day - what a late arrival home! And the escalator sounds like a nightmare of mine.

Now, are you going to come along with me on my trip this year so that you can write the trip report? :goodvibes or at least going on another trip soon so that we can read more? :rotfl: (I saw that you were looking for AP rates, so I can only hope that means another trip)

And by the way, young lady, what were you doing up in the wee hours of the morning posting on the Disboards????? :rotfl2:

Sounds like a lovely last day.

The planes from Manchester Airport go over a road on a bridge here in cheshire. There is 2 bridges, one for each runway.

It was fun reading your Disney adventure especially since you were camping! :thumbsup2 Glad you enjoyed DLP! :sunny:

What a great last day's report. Didn't realise about the pots and pans at Tarzan so we'll have to do this next time :)

Glad you had a nice final day! I really liked your report!

Absolutely!! DLP and WDW offer very different, but both still wonderful Disney experiences, and I very grateful that I'm able to do both. :woohoo: I'm really glad you enjoyed DLP in the end. :goodvibes
