Denver friends/Jeffco schools is everyone ok? School shooting

A 32 year old man came on and shot 2 students before being tackled by a teacher who was on parking lot duty. 1 student is in critical condition one was treated and released.


What a hero this math teacher is!

Yes, that teacher is a hero. Truthfully, we are all glad around here that it hasn't seemed to hit the national news. We could use a break in that area.

It is such a sad situation for another school to go through this again. The teacher certainly was a hero! What I can't understand is that the shooter was 32 years old. He certainly must have mental issues. I am thankful that the critical boy has been upgraded to serious.

I could see and hear the helicopters just like last time. I was home during that shooting as well. It's an icky feeling.....again.

I have to say I loved what the teacher said today during the press conference. Someone asked him whathe thought they could do in the future to prevent this sort of thing and he looked at the guy totally deadpan and said "I think we need to hire a psychic cop. That way we will know in advance when someone is going to do this"
Good for him!

The other thing I liked was when someone questioned him why he was teaching in a middle school when he had his PHD in math he said something like My students used to ask me that and I would just say "Why? dont you think you're worth it?"

A hero for sure and a humble one at that.
