I have an emergency! We're leaving for wdw monday am on a 9:30 am.

I just lost a crown off of a tooth. I've tried to get a hold of my dentist who hasn't returned my call. Does wdw has a dental clinic? What can I do if I get there and have a problem? HELP!

I just lost a crown, popped it back on, and the dentist couldn't get it back off when I went in....but she did tell me pharmacies sell a temporary adhesive, go to your pharmacy and ask, clean everything well, and pop the crown back on.

Use FixaDent and it should stay on until you get back home. If you need to see a dentist while at WDW, the front desk can refer you, although you might need to pay out of pocket and wait for your insurance for reimbursement.

You guys are wonderful! I've been panicking about this, not even thinking about such simple solutions.

It just felt like the final straw in a very stressful week, just as I'm finishing packing for 9 days of escape. I couldn't think beyond the obvious.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In 2001, my DH had an abcessed tooth from a failed root canal bother him while on vacation at WDW. He was in a lot of pain. I can't say for sure how we got in touch with this dentist (front desk or phone book), but he was the best. He saw my husband the next day & helped as much as he could, prescribing pain medication & numbing him up. DH had to see an endodentist upon our return home.

I can't say for certain he's still in business (he was older, maybe even "retired" but came in for emergency treatments), but if he is, I recommend his services. His office is in Orlando, closer to Universal. We had driven down so we had a car to drive to his office.

Just in case you need it...

Thanks Mickey and MInnie Mom. I'm taking the dentist info with me.

I can't believe how much I panicked over this. I've popped it back on, and so far it seems immoveable. I also ran out to the local Walgreens and bought adhesive to take with me.

I think it's just the stress of taking care of all the last minute things, going over details with the dog/house sitter, laundry - you all know the list!

Anyway, the responses helped me become an intelligent being again and think a bit clearer. Thanks!

Packing is almost all done except for the last minute things. As soon as I finish grading papers, I can relax.

Now I have to ask - what were you eating?

Mine was Dots. The dentist just laughed. Then laughed again when she couldn't pull it off. Dots are stronger than my dentist with pliers!

kinda off topic but i have to get a crown and was kinda worried about it but you guys make it sound like no big deal :confused3 :confused3 :earboy2: thanks! oh--and i was eating overcooked frozen pizza before going to the Hilary Duff concert with dd11 when a little part of my tooth came off!! :sunny: have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!

You had to ask! I was chewing on a mentos. I didn't even know it had come off until I bit down on the candy and felt something hard. I tried to tell my dh that it could have happened with anything, right?
