Dental Cap/Post

I was wondering if anyone has had a crown and post done?

I had a root canal a few months ago and I'm going to have an old crown replaced with a post/crown tomorrow. I'm wondering what to expect. I know the crown isn't a big deal but what about the post *shudder* Any pain?

I'm going to get one Thursday --- don't really understand why -- the dentist said an old filling cracked and now he needs to put a crown on

It can't be any worse than a root canal

I've had a couple root canels and posts, the pain wasn't to bad, but I do have a high tolerance for pain...
