I had a thread a while back that said this would be happening and it had begun.

Walls went up to day for demo of the FLSW station. It will be replaced with by new restrooms and the widening of the walk way.

As soon as there are pictures online I will link to it.

I hope they cleared out all the strollers first.
You come back from your ride on IASW and can't find your stroller. However you see a balloon, that looks just like the one you tied to your stroller handle, bobbing around behind a wall that you don't remember being there.

Oh Figment -----

I just did a little trip down memory lane. I remember riding and for some reason just fascinated with all the backstage areas. We did ride during a night parade - that was fun.

I know, I know.....they were not efficient, couldn't carry enough people fast enough and GOD KNOWS extra bathrooms are a good thing (I never pass a "gift" bathroom without a visit - as DH says).

I guess I'm just an old-mouser.

Thanks for the memories.

Actually the main reason that they got rid of the Skyway was because you could see backstage and the tops of the buildings that were not themed, to them it was not good show.

I'm sad they are tearing it down. I loved taking the skyway into fantasyland and pulling into there.

im sure i read somewhere the reason (or at least the official reason) was due to accessibility problems?
