Deluxe Resorts full for Oct 2008!!

Wow!! I know about all of the events in October, but I have never, in the last 10 years or so, had a problem with booking what I want for October this early!! My first choice is Poly concierge and that's a "no go" at this point. Pickings are pretty slim at other deluxes as well with the exception of AKL. Hopefully something will open up as time goes on. I guess I learned a new lesson, book at least a full year in advance to make sure you can get what you want!!

Change your dates around a bit, and maybe something will open up. I'm surprised they are almost full for October!

I was just on checking for Oct. 08 and the POLY had openings. It was for the concierge also.

Where you using the Disney website to check availability? I have had it tell me there was no availability when there was Not sure what the problem is but I can't get that stinking site to work correctly for me. I always end up calling Disney to find out if they have the rooms and dates I want. Hope you can get the reservation you want

Yes I would call too. I had the same problem today. Although I wanted AKL and the web site said nothing was available for the begining of DEC. When I called I got the room that I wanted. Calling wouldn't hurt anything. Good luck.

The Disney website is just about useless for checking availability. It is wrong more often than it is right, and that's if it works at all.

Call Disney or a travel agent.

I WAS using the website so I will try calling. I was checking for the end of the month when our school system's fall break is scheduled. That used(!) to be a slow time at WDW, but not so much anymore. Still, it's about the only time we can round the entire family up to go!

minniemomof4 - I echo what others are saying and just keep trying. I think things open up quite frequently. I wonder if it's a situation where places like Expedia book up rooms in anticipation of selling - kind of like the ticket brokers when trying to go to a show or sports event - and then when they don't sell they get released back to Disney. Maybe someone here knows the answer to that. Good luck!

I would call or go through a Disney specialist TA. I just looked up a variety of dates in October and there was availability. In fact I was looking to book the YC and found lots of space. The regular Disney website sometimes has many difficulties. I wouldn't trust it.

I've also had many times that "no availability" shows up when five minutes earlier the website showed they had rooms. I keep trying or try again later if I'm not looking to book right then. Several times shortly after having the "no availability" issue, the Disney site goes down for "maintenance" for an hour or so.

BTW, I specifically had this issue for Oct 2008 when we are also planning on going.
