Deluxe hotels and extra evening hours- one night stay

If I wanted to take advantage of the extra evening hours by staying at a deluxe resort and only wanted to stay there for the one night for that extra benefit, is it available on both check in and check out day?
Or just one or the other?

For example, if I wanted to take advantage of staying late at MK on a Wednesday, should I check into the deluxe in the morning on Wednesday. Or, could we stay Tuesday- Wednesday and get those extra hours on check out day?

Thanks for the help. Looking at a split stay <3

I had the same question, i'm doing a split stay where i'm moving from POP to CR on Monday (EPCOT Extra Hours) and moving back to POP on Wednesday (MK Extra Hours). I asked this question to a CM on the phone and he wasn't sure and put me on hold to find out. His answer was that when they did extra magic hours in the past you did get to participate on your checkout date. They didn't have new information for the new Extended Hours only open to Deluxe guests, but he assumed it would be the same. So I'm hopeful...

You are considered a guest of the resort until the end of checkout day, so you’d still qualify to attend evening extra hours on Wednesday night after checking out that morning.

Thanks! Super helpful
A caveat that just occurred to me - if you check into a different resort on Wednesday, you’d become a guest of that resort. Sorry, I was multitasking when I answered before and was thinking about guests who are leaving WDW that day - they are considered WDW resort guests all day. I’m not sure about having deluxe resort guest privileges at night when moving to a mod or value resort that day!

Following along :).
That's a great question, thanks for asking! I hadn't thought of this, but we almost always do split stays and it's something to think about. We've done it at Universal (Express Passes) for just one night and over there it's check-in and check-out day.

We did this at Universal 2 weeks ago for the Express Passes. lol. That's why I thought of doing it for the extra evening hours :)

Well, I did more thinking about this, and I know that if you change Disney resorts, you can park at either resort and use the pools at either resort all day. But again, I just don’t know whether that will extend to extra evening hours!

Bumping in case anyone has more current information or advice on this!

On other threads, it has been established that you’re a guest at a given resort until close of parks on checkout day. That includes extra hours. Just have to be able to prove you were a guest there last night (so don’t check into a moderate or value that day - might complicate things).

Was it confirmed that deluxe resort guest privileges for extended hours remain when the day of check out and checking in to a mod or value resort the same day? Looking to book AKL for a few nights then a mod resort.

Yes, see post above. When they scan your MB or card, CMs can see that you were/are a guest at both hotels that day.
