Deluxe Dining Plan vs DDP vs DDE

This is long and involves several factors.

My DFi and I got engaged in Disney last May. We took a long birthday weekend in August. We would be going in December, if I hadn't cancelled to use that 3000 to pay for DVC. That being said, we're Disneymooning after our wedding in May, and plan on purchasing DVC (BLT). We also plan on going back the following winter (January or February).

We currently have 7 days worth of regular non expiring passes. In May, we are staying at the Beach Club Villas.

That being said, since we go so frequently and are going back within the same year, would we be better off buying a Disney Dining Experience card and Annual Passes?Or would the best value be to stay as we are (Beach Club Villas, with our current passes) and add a dining plan?

We want to go to Victoria and Albert's one night, I know that isn't on a Dining Plan.

Other restaurants we would love to go to for dinner:
California Grill
The Wave
Bistro De Paris
Jiko
Polynesian Luau
Tutto Italia

For Breakfast:
Crystal palace
Kona Cafe
Ohana

For lunch:
Le Cellier
50s Prime Time Cafe

That being said, we want to have money for fine wine, drinking around the world, and to be able to get snacks from the Main St Bakery and the bakery in France.

What's the best way to not blow a ton of extra money?

I am getting sick and tired of tossing around these same ideas and I Thougth a fresh set of eyes could help!

I would guess with V&A in the mix that you'll save more with the DDE card. Figure that the DDE will save you a minimum of $50 at V&A - plus 20% at the rest of your dinners and your adult beverages. Also the DDE would be good for all of your visits. The DDP is something you'd purchase for each visit.

Punch the numbers in here http://personalpages.tds.net/~rb/DIS/MYW%20Dining/DisneyDining%20Template%202009.xls and see how it works out for you. I may be WAY off and the DDP may be the way to go!

Thank you so much for that link!

My only concern is that I can get discounted APs once I am a DVC member, so maybe I should thinking to purchasing BEFORE I go down (and see the models)... Plus would it be a huge wait to let those two 7-day passes to to waste?

LOL too many factors and ponts to consider make me  :scared1:

I would say call Member Services to ask, but since you're looking at buying, call your DVC guide and see if you can upgrade the 7day non-expiring while still using your DVC discount. They may be able to do that for you, and then you'd lose nothing.
