Deluxe Dining Plan changes with kids

Has anyone experienced this yet? I've read that kids can order an adult entree on the deluxe plan... what about an appetizer? Just checking if anyone has tried this yet.

Yes kids can order whatever they want. We were there last week and my son ordered off the adult menus at BOG and The Plaza.
