First "grown-up" trip to Disney... Going during FD and upgraded to Deluxe Dining.

Any must eats while we're there? Also, what are the best signature dining spots?

Jiko, Boma, Le Cellier, Yachtsman. All four are great choices and are worth fitting into your schedule.

Narcoossee's is a must for us...every trip! We have also enjoyed Yachtsman, Brown Derby and Cali Grill.

We too have upgraded to DxDP for the past several years and honestly...it's a lot of food. We find the best way to take full advantage of the DxDP is to have plenty of Signature Restaurants, otherwise we felt like we were eating B, L, & D plus snacks even when we weren't hungry sometimes to try and justify spending the extra $ on Deluxe. Obviously that doesn't make for a great vacation, especially when you have a tummy ache most of your trip.

So after "living and learning" we still do Deluxe but we're smarter about it. We do plenty of Signatures, mostly buffets for breakfast everyday, an occasional TS lunch with lots of great snacks in between, and have really enjoyed Deluxe more than trying to do numerous TS's for every single meal. :thumbsup2

We did the Deluxe plan last September, and loved it.

Favorites of ours are Cali Grill (#1) and Yachtsman. Also really like CRT to use the double credits.:lovestruc

My sister raved about Jiko. I personally didn't care for Narcoossee's, but I know a lot of people love it. :upsidedow

Otherwise, make breakfast ressies and then a signature dinner. Your credits will be gone before you know it! :rotfl:

Totally agree with this. We tried DxDP on our last visit and felt the same way. If we do DxDP next time, we will probably do more signature restaurants, or else we will just do DDP and if we want to do more TS, then just pay cash.

But to answer the question in the OP, I would recommend both Jiko (the pork tenderloin is perhaps the best I have ever had) and the Brown Derby for Signature Dining.

We really enjoyed Kona Cafe (pretty much everything on the menu was one of our favorites) for breakfast and dinner. We also liked Coral Reef and Le Cellier in Epcot.

These were the top 5 of our trip.

Le Cellier...Our first "grown up" trip we loved this place. The food was great and we enjoyed everything about the place!

We did 11 nights deluxe in Jan '08 and we're doing 9 nights deluxe on our next trip in Sept.

Take advantage of the 2 credit meals! We did Narcoosees, California Grill, Artist Point, Yachtsman, and CRT on our last trip, plus ordered room service twice. After Sept, we'll be able to say we've tried every signature restaurant at Disney.

Also, take a look at the snack sticky on the top of the board and make a mental note of some of the more interesting options. There is such a great variety, and with the extra snacks on the deluxe plan you can try a lot of them!

ETA: A few must eats, in my opinion - Teppan Edo at Epcot, Tutto Italia at Epcot, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, California Grill at the Contemporary (especially if you can get a reservation close to MK fireworks time), Narcoosees at the Grand Floridian.
