Also, I have found that if I call and say "hey, I couldn't get seats together for my family, what can you do for me, b/c I don't think other passengers want to deal with my 11 yo and my 13 yo who are not near me or each other on this flight." Someone will usually fix the seats. Sometimes it takes several calls to get the most sympathetic ear, but it can be done.
A Delta cust svc rep told me that they usually reserve the last two rows of economy for situations like this and it just takes some persistance to get the seating fixed. I'm ok with sitting together in the back of the plane and being last off. It's better than everyone being bothered by my kids running back and forth.
I'm sorry, but if by checking the seat map you know you cannot get seats together, then you shouldn't be booking that flight. .......
I'm sorry, but if by checking the seat map you know you cannot get seats together, then you shouldn't be booking that flight. It is possible that you will not be able to be switched around and seated all together. And at ages 11 and 13 there is no excuse for kids to be running all over the aircraft.
If you do pick seats that are together and they are moved around, that is another thing. But it still would be no excuse for kids who are almost teenagers to misbehave on a flight.

I didn't say they'd misbehave, I said they'd be going back and forth all flight, trading ds games and asking for snacks. My boys have been flying since they were quite young and know how to behave on a plane. I find that it's their seat companions who are more bothered by having unattended kids next to them. Once on a flight from the US to Amsterdam, the nice man who helped me put my hand luggage in the overhead bin commented how he felt sorry for me traveling alone with a 6 and 8 yo. They were the best behaved kids on that flight!

You said they would bother other people on the aircraft. Continually bothering other people is misbehaving, imho.
Perhaps she means that someone would be bothered when her kids get up.
If I have a window seat and need to use the rest room, it may bother the person I the middle and aisle seats. But I am not misbehaving.
It could be they do it excessively. If an adult did that, it would be rude, not necessarily misbehaving. It seems that passengers need to pack their carrying accordingly should they be split up so that they would not feel the need to get up repeatedly.
Does anyone know how much delta charges to reserve seats together on flights? I am planning a trip to Disney World and found cheap airfare but want to figure out how many extra fees there are going to be before I book it in.
Thanks
. . . BUT DELTA DOES CHARGE FOR SEATS -- DEPENDING ON YOUR FARE. . .
